Many of the employees were working remotely and are now under an evacuation for the wildfires. They may not have internet or limited access to perform/monitor this patch as it goes through. I hope they are all safe and can wait to play.

Holiday events are garbage filler that always $%^# the servers. Add a poorly built patch and an upcoming anniversary non-event as well as burnt out, overworked staff and we’re lucky this hunk of junk works at all.
WoW is over, we’re just finishing off the booze at the after-funeral gathering.

The servers are online 168 hours a week and it always amazes me when people can’t handle them being offline for more than 1 of those hours. Pure insanity

People still complain about the 1 hour maintenance window every week too. It’s not like they have been doing maintenance on Tuesday mornings for 16 years or anything…
