Been watching Lucifer on Netflix recently, got me thinking which class would most be like the devil. Obviously warlock has that whole aesthetic, but I think rogue has the mischievous side covered, and something like DK or DH also has a demonic flair. What do you guys think?
My wife watches that show. I can’t get into it myself.
If anyone in game follows a similar pattern as the traditional story of Lucifer it would probably be Sargaras.
Yeah the acting isn’t amazing, cool story though. I do see the similarities with Sargaras but idk if he could be defined as just one class.
OMg I am watching it right now!!
Ahahah, it’s pretty binge worthy lol. Fockin hate charlotte richards tho
I stopped watching after the second season, because i wasnt a fan of the plot development.
Hed be a mix of warlock before legion, and bard (yes i know they arent in wow) because its the only thing that could cover his personality.
Hm yeah I know what you mean. I think a trickster kind of rogue would represent some of his personality too.
I just dont see WoW rogues as charismatic enough to cover him, and if we are taking Tv show lucifer i wouldnt really call him a trickster, but he coulda changed since i stopped watching ha.
Not so much trickster, more devious. I guess i’m thinking of a mix of the tv and biblical version. Amenadiel would definitely be a priest or paladin though
Netflix really stepped it up once they took over for season 4. They did so much with just 10 episodes compared to fox pushing around 20 or more a season.
Less restrictions too so I think it’s improved. They don’t have to worry about the fcc losing their mind.
I’m midway through season 3 atm, I think the 20 episodes per season is a bit excessive. It’s good to hear it gets better later too
Its a great show for me. Completed all 4 seasons. Three of my friends loved it and 1 more does not like it.
I would think Warlock fits the bill.
Its hard trying to compare the show to classes because i keep feeling like ill spoil to much for people who havent seen it.
Thats good to hear, i think my main gripe was that even tho i knew it was gonna happen from probably the first episode, i didnt like the direction they took lucifer and the detetctives personal lives.
Ahaha fair enough, spoiler free would be great, but I think we get the general idea of the character.
I don’t think Rogue does him any good. The only rogue thing I can think of would be him rebelling against the plan for him to rule Hell. But thats not really a rogue feature.
Warlock would work for season 1 for sure, with a succubus for Maze.
But I could also see Priest, given his angelic nature to do good, while rebelling against say like Xera’s extremism.
Warrior might go well too, as he never stops fighting for his beliefs.
Perhaps Paladin, afterall he works for/with the Police.
And maybe Shamanism, because it’s technically a more inclusive religious path for a character then the Light. (Equating Xera to god here).
Druidism might work too here, but its vert far fetched compared to Shaman.
But ya id probably call him a paladin with some quirks lol
I do actually see the whole paladin priest thing, after all, he used to be an angel. And most of the time he is actually trying to do good, punishing evil and such. I think the stationary aspect of warlocks in the backlines doesn’t really fit his aggression if ya catch my drift.
I mean, he still technically is an Archangel. He just loses his wings. Not his powers.
Which are centered on desire, and he has a history for being a torturer. Warlocks fit the desire and soul torturer themes. But Lucifer as a character is humanized and given a much more light hearted and understandable role. (Part of why Fox canned it).
So I somewhat think Warlock is a bit too dark for what his character is, outside of a temper, Maze, and the power of desire.
