I have the exact same issue, it occurs when I disable all addons, and it also occurs when MC’ing player characters in BG’s. It does not happen when MC’ing npcs.

it ain’t really mind control unless it causes the game to break
MC/DC is back with a vengeance btw, almost better than ever trying to run in for fear with its low chance for a 60s duration proc

this is still happening. removed all my addons + deleted wtf folder. sometimes reloading doesnt even fix it and the lua errors will keep popping up. blizz plz
Same here, even without addOns, happens on pvp gamemodes (bg / arenas)
Anyone with solutions here? I can’t use Mind Control because the LUA error pops up everytime!

Just turn off Lua errors, run this command:
/console scriptErrors 0
Mind control should of been removed from the game awhile ago. Get it outta here along with all the knocks.
same problem. every MC l get the Lua error as well. how do you turn off errors?
I’m having this issue too. Happens with all addons disabled.
Using the following got rid of it, but I’d rather be aware of issues in the future so I don’t want to keep it disabled:
/console ScriptErrors 0
Same here. Someone had luck resolving the issue by resetting the “cvar” settings. But I guess it reset’s a lot of “other” settings as well…
This MC bug is such a joke. every single time i use it in pvp ever, its costs me the match. lua error wont stop until i exit and relaunch. i see people loling and saying you must be new here. YOURE TELLING ME BLIZZ HASNT FIXED THIS ABILITY SINCE THEY CAME OUT WITH IT!?!?!? HOW. HOW? what a joke of a company blizzard has become.

so how long has blizzard not been able to fix this ability? i just spent my entire bank this xpac gearing my priest just to be gg’d by the lua error spam when i use MC. its a joke and forums wont even lets me type out and post how i really feel about this garbage.

I think it’s been around since legion. I might be wrong but I remember it being mentioned at that expansion.
