Trying to transfer keep getting this message

I’m getting the same error. Disabled all of my addons and still the same thing

It will eventually go through. I initiated my transfer at 6:15PST yesterday after disabling all my addons, and received the same message and error symbol next to my character. When I logged on this morning, my characters were on CS.

I got the same error last night and they’re still on LW. Still giving the lua error as well and has the error symbol with “come back later”

After some troubleshooting, I found a solution that worked for me (with Chatgpt’s help):

  1. Close the game completely.
  2. Navigate to your World of Warcraft Classic installation folder.
  3. In that folder, find the following directories:
  • Interface
  • WTF
  • Cache
  1. Rename each of these folders to something like Interface_Old, WTF_Old, and Cache_Old.
  2. Restart the game. It will automatically regenerate these folders with default settings.

After that, the lua error was gone and i was able to transfer. Now i’m waiting 23 hours!

Just remember to rename it back after the xfer is succeeded.

I tried renaming the Classic Folders, and now I don’t have the option to choose a transferring realm…

After that you prob have to play once (enter the realm with one of those charcters you want to transfer off) and then it should appear, if the sv list doesn’t appear on the transfer then it’s bugged like how it was at the start of the transfering (pretty sure it’s limited to a number per attempt, so you just have to try again and again until it appears)
EDIT: For the people that has that error, I tried multiple times to transfer one of my characters and it was giving me error non stop, went to watch anime, came back after a few hours and now that character was being transfered and it was showing me 2d 18hs, then by early in the morning it was already on the other sv. So even tho it gives you a error, eventually it will transfer off to the new realm.

This may work for some but there must be separate LUA errors people are encountering. I’ve tried this along with a number of other suggestions including opening tickets and filing bug reports, posting in forums, having mailbox reset. Still no solution

i am getting this error also, and i am not trying to do any kind of transfer, i’ve completely deleted the WTF and Addons Folder and its still there. Also tried repair
