My game crashed and now every time I log out to the character select screen I get this popup. This is even after doing a full reset. How can I fix this?

Just so were clear u did this instead of disabling/uninstalling addons correct

Yes I did.
It has something to do with having in game purchases disabled through parental controls. I have it turned off normally. When I turn purchases on it stops giving the error, but starts again when I turn it back off.
Have you tried changing your password that usually resets the server side cache?
It did nothing.
Just wanted to chip in to say that I am getting the same error this morning upon switching characters.
(beyond clicking the “resetUI” button the error window offered, I haven’t yet tried anything to fix it; I do not use any add-ons)
( but I haven’t yet seen the error again after exiting/restarting the battle.net launcher )
Have you guys done a full UI reset by also running the command /console cvar_default after deleting/renaming/moving your interface and WTF folders? That command wipes all serverside variables back to their defaults. It’s possible you guys have error showing still turned on(it’s a server-stored variable) from an addon and that the error you’re seeing is technically happening for a lot of players, under the hood, but they just don’t get the popup about it.
Yes, all that did was mess up my settings.
Yes, it wipes all cvars back to their defaults for both the local client and the server stored variables. When you ran it, did you also delete, move or rename your WTF and interface folders? It’s pointless to try running the command if an addon is just going to immediately change settings again.

I’m also having this same error. I’ve reset my UI both by removing the WTF and Interface folders and running the script. Everything seems completely reset, but the lua error referencing the store is still there whenever I go from the game to the character select screen.
The only other thing that comes to mind is that the in game store is disabled on my account through parental controls. In the meantime, I’ve stopped the card attached to my account since it looks a bit like the store is trying to automatically open.

Good theory.
I enabled in-game purchases and my LUA error went away.
I disabled them again and my LUA error returned.
It appears to be linked to a small “shop” button added to the lower-left of the login screen.
(QA may have missed it because it only shows up when switching characters, not on the initial login - at least for me)
If that’s the cause, guess I’m living with the lue error forever. Thank you for checking. You saved me the trouble of finding the parental controls link.
