Celebrating 20 years of WoW, WoW needs to give loot for players based on stay. 5, 10 years, 2 years continuous subscription, and so on.

I think of heritage PvP gear, champion tier.

It is a token of gratitude

Champion gear is not much. How everything is flip of cube, incentivising players to subs longer, fits the narrative.

Hmnnnnnn this just came up same wording from 2 months ago on reddit… Anywhose.

There was one but Idk if still there ,players got statues,ect for x ammount of time.

I’d rather have stuff like that especially when we can get that gear in game. Statues that are very limited would be more of a reward then stuff that’s already in game.

Ah, “participation” trophies. Last time I got one of those was in 6th grade (1978).

My point which you only half way got , was saying something like a statue or something akin to that would be better than gear only a portion of the players would use and gear levels that are already in game.

Isn’t that…already a thing, though? You have people who have items that are unobtainable for the foreseeable future because they played since, or nearly since, the beginning. You have achievements like WoW’s 4th anniversary that are forever unobtainable, unless time machines one day exist. You have titles that you can no longer obtain.

Sure, the Trading Post may make some things available again, but that’s a big ‘maybe’, and it’s so far been mostly for things like Tyrael’s Steed, which no one really used in the first place.

The thing you’re asking for already exists.

I already have my Uber rare title that can’t be obtained anymore. Those types of titles are good things.

I think the trading post addresses this actually.

I currently suspect the new sun and moon theme transmog that was datamined has a chance to be the year two reward.

I get your point. I guess it’s important to some people to be acknowledged for their accomplishments. I’ve never been one of those people.

Yea trolls and spammer tend to chat gpt or rehash things from bad reddit posts or streamers who make a living hating on wow because they past their prime and bad at the game (cough asmongold cough cough)

They have literally mailed out real “trophies “ for those than maintained a consistent sub I think it was for the tenth anniversary or maybe the fifteenth I forgot.

I’ve been playing since 2005 but not consistently subbed I let it run out while I’m bored not able to play or not interested in wow.

Now I’m on a 1 year sub though for transparency.

Anyway I’m fine with little cosmetic things like a pet or a tabard but actually getting gear nope.

I just find it funny it didin’t get much traction there and doesn’t look like it is here either.
