I have seen a lot of posters on the form use the term “loyal customer/player” when you’re rewarded with microtransactions.
Apparently being a “loyal” customer means how much money you can throw at Blizzard since the start of BfA when they introduced these 6 month deals.
Apparently if you play this game for 10+ years, you are not a loyal customer and should not be rewarded.
Apparently playing this game for 10+ years means you are not a loyal customer, but someone that has started playing 2 years ago and bought a 6 month sub is a very loyal player.
Goodnight folks!

Didn’t playing for 10 years get you a special statue of the raider orc in front of Blizzard’s building?

I like saving money so I choose the six-month option. The additional perks are also nice!

It’s just a useless qualifier people give to terms that they think adds more weight to what they are saying, or they feel better about it. Anyone who has paid money to this game for an extended period is a customer. There is no loyalty to it, in fact to express loyalty to a brand is foolish because you’re not so much loyal to them as you are willing to buy their product while they hold a favorable opinion in your mind. If you’d stick with a game that repeatedly makes poor decisions just because you feel some sense of loyalty to that company or game, you’re just a dimwitted consumer.
I’ve been subbed to the game since the beginning and always kept my account subscribed, but I don’t call myself a loyal customer because I’m honest enough to say if Classic wasn’t a thing, I wouldn’t have a sub. Even on that I mostly play to raid on my rogue, I spend far more time on XIV.
You got a mini statue that I’ll be honest, was pretty poorly made. It also carried the condition that you were subscribed all 10 of those years without a lapse, or very small lapses as of like a week.
I think if they really wanted to do something, adding an achievement or title, or a transmog would have been a far better approach but we all know how this community gets towards the idea of things that not everybody can just have because they want it.

If you are interested in the concept. Loyalty rewards are often given to customers who have subscribed or have shown much business.
With the promo you are essentially buying in bulk. And having a promotion to do that is nice to ensure revenue for the company. If you are already doing it and get gifted the special that is a free reward and can be considered a loyalty reward.
Some mmos give you loyalty rewards like in FF14, you get mounts and pets for staying subscribed for free like a fat chocobo. It’s nice to get some digital stuff out of it, it’s not really a big deal since it’s all digital anyway.

Do you want some cheese to go with that whine?

Blizzard deserve any loyalty after the past 3-ish years.
The fact players are still bragging about being loyal and getting “rewards” for it. Is more sad / terrifying to me then anything else.

Because we really needed ANOTHER thread on it.
Like the others you made just weren’t enough.
TL;DR keyboard warriors here to take a stand against the great injustice of a free mog.

While still paying money to that big, bad, greedy company.

If blizzard goes under we loss all our character data anyway? Might as well encourage some business in the sub market especially when it’s the cheapest option.
If you want the mog, you can set a 6 month sub and then switch back as soon as that payment goes through. They have no reason to keep track of customer histories of payment types over the years.
Do it or don’t. There’s no reason to whine about what some random internet stranger uses the word “loyalty” to mean.
It’s worked this way for years. I think people would rather pay more so they can complain about not getting that thing than save money and get them automatically.

Ya know. Fans that stick with the game. What your thinking of is the cash whales

You used to be able to pay for WoW a year at a time. Now you can only do 6 months and get free stuff thrown at you. It’s just terrible.

more trolling from the dude who claims to not have a NA account.

The best is when someone makes these threads but someone else looks up their armory and finds store mounts in their collection
