It would be easier to lower the cost of respec’ing than adding a ton of code with the dual spec GUI. To lower the cost, someone has to change the current algorithm to cap at 5g instead of 50g. Delete a single zero. Problem solved. Player has to get a port to capital city, change spec for 5g, then get a summon back so they can tank or heal that instance. Big change for gamers. Low effort from Blizzard. Win/WIN scenario!!!
What people like you don’t seem to realize is that gold income at 70 is much higher than it was at 60… yet the respec fee has not increased. This means that it has in effect already been greatly reduced. The number might look the same… but it’s actually considerably less than what it was before.
The point of dual spec btw isn’t to save gold. It’s for convenience. If it’s put in, it needs to have a very high cost attached to it. I’ve been suggesting 10,000g. If you aren’t willing to pay for it… then you probably just want a handout which is not what it should be for.
What if they remove the ability to respec altogether?
Better? Worse?
I think lower respec values would solve the problem.
