Could just be a display error on the website. Or they managed to use an alt code and it stuck.

Alt codes. Instead of just typing the letter, you hold alt and enter the code associated with the lower-case letter. Since it’s seen as a symbol instead of a letter, it doesnt automatically get converted to a capital letter.

This is also how you see characters with non-standard characters in their names (eg. umlauts).

Ran into them in the game, but they were the opposite faction so I couldn’t ask them about it. :frowning:

It’s not an actual T, lower case or otherwise. It’s a cross symbol. If you click on the armory and look at the name you can see it’s clearly different than a normal letter.

I think you’re referring to the armory’s new font type.

It’s a “T” for sure. I ran into them while playing the game. I just couldn’t whisper them because they were the opposite faction, and I didn’t feel like making an alt just to whisper someone about their name. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s not. That letter can’t be used when making a character name in the game. :slight_smile:

Copy his name from the armory, paste it in the character creation screen and it works.

If I copy that symbol you typed, I can’t paste it in the character screen.

Dunno, then. Could have just been a fluke and the game didn’t auto-capitalize it.

Exactly. The “T” in his name has the little dangly thing. It’s the weird font type for the Armory that makes it look like a cross. Copy the name and paste it into anything that doesn’t use that font. It’s a “T” 100%. :slight_smile:

I did a search and T -t doesn’t show up.

You can see the t in my name looks like that on the armory page. But it’s normal in the url, just like that guy’s.

If you look in your search bar it is just a normal T, it’s not an Alt code as far as I can tell.

Ahh okay, I guess that is just their font. copy and pasted the name and it’s a small t. I’m curious how they managed this also.
