Low Server Population

Hope may be unrealistic, but won’t stop till I quit this game.

I agree with low population server merging and also support layers. But I think something else should be done with layering.

On metropolis servers you run into a ton off issues with offshore gold farmers; making it very hard for the actual player to farm up consumes for raiding. Any of these large servers have farmers just hovering on node clusters.

It is clear that Blizzard is doing very little in the way of preventing this (probably because of the $). Often times raiders get bans for purchasing gold because everything is so inflated, while the bots roam free. My proposal is that Blizzard identify them and place them on their own layer where they have to compete with themselves.

Then players will have an eco system where they have to fight each other for the nodes and lose out of the free bot honor. You know. Actual wpvp.

This isn’t a problem.

Transfer. If you’re still on a low population server and didn’t transfer like everyone else did. It begs the question. Why? Mega servers are where all the action is at. PLAYERS know this, and have long since left the garbage realms.

The few people still playing on low population realms aren’t good at making decisions .

Why: Business ethics.

You are asking that the customers pay to resolve an issue created by the company. Every paid transfer is basically a signature signing off on this practice as acceptable.

Those like myself who see this is an ethical issue, will not be signing off on that. If server mergers do not come soon enough, I will be taking my money elsewhere.

This. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.

Transferring like an idiot allows blizzard to perpetuate the issue and only garuntees that you may have to pay again and again when your next realm dies. All this without even considering the players who don’t transfer and just quit/go to other MMOs which will eventually help kill the game.

Talk about bad decisions.

Maybe we like smaller servers? Or maybe because don’t want to give Blizzard money for a problem they can fix.

Paying Blizzard on top of a sub fee to play on a low population realm is NOT a player created issue. This is on Blizzard.

Yes agreed on the money part. I always suggest people on the fence just quit because I totally disagree with how Blizzard has handled all of this.

Also yep. some people like smaller servers. Some people do not like mega servers. I know quite a few people who transferred to the super mega servers who DO NOT like them but went with their guilds and are now having a worse experience after doing so (and they have said so). Some people just prefer having a more community experience on a low or medium pop server vs the toxicity and nobody knows each other that is VERY prominent on the super mega servers.

That poster won’t respond to you, they always come on here and post stuff, I agree with about half of it, but they always word it in an extremely condescending and arrogant way. They do it in a nasty way but it’s never directed at specific people so can rarely be reported. I don’t think they ever read responses after saying whatever they say.

Anyway I’ll continue to support and empathize with the players on low pop servers and sides even though I can’t actually do anything to help.

We know Blizzard is looking at realm populations and choosing to ignore speaking to the community about TBC Classic realm populations, as there are some transfer initiatives for Classic realms (Non TBC)

Today they announced new upcoming servers for Classic WoW. We demand an update on TBC Classic servers. Thank you for everyone to continue to speak out

In the past, Blizzard has at least recognized this is an issue.

Connecting the low-population realms to other existing realms" will give players more opportunities without having to shell out for server transfers. From your history with your guild to your interactions with the economy around you, a realm with a healthy population provides more opportunities.

As WoW has evolved, we’ve seen players naturally gravitate toward a subset of very active realms, leaving behind lower-populated realms. Due to the massively multiplayer nature of World of Warcraft, certain kinds of gameplay experiences simply aren’t well-suited to a low-pop realm

This have been taken from past announcements when talking about the issue with low pop servers. It was seen as an issue to gameplay in the past. Why is it not being treated with the same look now?

And this is being experienced over multitude of servers. At this point Blizzard should merge, or connect, the realms to create ones are sustainable.

Cancel your subscriptions and leave feedback in the reasons why you’re cancelling. Expect content creators and more of the community to be aware of these server population issues plaguing Classic WoW in the near future. The community deserves a response from Blizzard already. Do not pay for transfers to keep allowing realms to die off.

Please quit transferring. Sign and share this. We deserve better as paying customers.

Bump - waiting on blue to chime in.

Bump again

This would be an easy thing for Blizzard to fix.

I have done this.
