Hopefully this is the place to ask this:
Will there ever be a mass server transfer (transfer multiple toons for one price) or possibly a fix of low pop servers soon? I’m currently playing on Blackrock - US and have many characters that I play on but the low population makes the auction house seem useless and there are not many active guilds.
I’d love to see the possibility to transfer or even merge this server with others if that is even possible. Trade chat is a ghost town here…

Transfers, no. They don’t want them even more dead.
More Connected Realms would be nice though.
I’d like to see a huge amount of connections, CRZ to be dropped entirely and sharding turned into layering.

Mass Transfers SHOULD be the default. It’s absurd to expect people to spend hundreds just for an automated system to move your character stable elsewhere. FFXIV does the one price for however many transfers you want to do thing, and it’s very nice.
That said, if it hasn’t happened by now, it’s simply not going to happen. It’s cynical, but I think Blizzard profits too much from people like you who get “stuck” in a bad place long enough to consider dropping the cash.
I can’t think of any other reason they wouldn’t have a mass transfer option by now.
This -should- just be a general feature. It’s beneficial for anyone who might want to transfer fully to another server. It wouldn’t just be about low pop realms and people evacuating, because I kinda get not offering it if that were the only purpose.
They created “Connected Realms” back in 2013 for this purpose.

Unfortunately, they never connected enough to reach their goal of collective “High Population” clusters, and it’s only gotten worse since then. The last connections they made were in… 2014.
They seem to have abandoned the idea entirely despite it literally being the solution to dead realms. It even avoids the usual server merging issues of having to give up names and such.

Some players prefer to play on lower population servers, you have options to fix the issue if you don’t want to play there.
By either shelling out lots of cash to transfer toons to different servers or spend a lot of time rolling a toon. Must be really interesting for them. Why don’t you offer some of your money for them?
So, like it’s always been? I couldn’t tell you how many different times I have started new characters on different servers, many players do.
Why would I offer someone money when they can fix their issue without it?
Why should someone have to start from scratch or spend money to fix something that is completely out of their control? It is not their fault if their server died.

Is it Blizzards fault? Players move and play where they want to. Nobody has control over where the population migrates.
Why yes, now you’re getting it. Why should they be penalized for it?
Let’s not pretend Blizzard is purposefully keeping realms dead to appease people who do not want to play an MMO.

I wasn’t aware they were being penalized. They have ways to fix this issue, as I already stated.
Yes, either by sinking in hours rebuilding a new toon or transferring with money. How fun.
Sometimes we have to put effort into something we want, if the reward isn’t worth the effort then don’t put forth the effort from the start.

Ion already said in Blizzcon Q&A that he’s addressing this issue with their server dev, dont transfer your toons.
It’s absurd that you’re defending the fact that someone that wants to move off a low pop server should spend up to hundreds of dollars to do so.
You should probably play a single player game.

I don’t play on low pop servers, nor would I prefer one. Why should I go play a single player game? lol
