I thought debuffs still counted, but I’ve never really tried it, since I don’t usually have problems getting tags in the first place.
Regardless, Exile’s Reach takes like an hour at most, maybe 2 hours if youvtakw your time, and go slow. An instant would be nice, but I think we’ll be fine.
Except hunters until 10.
Hunters only get Wing Clip, which iirc doesn’t do damage and only slows. Could be wrong tho, because I barely use it.
I am simply making a POINT. Making a NEW Warlock on “Exiles reach” is like listening to nails on a chalkboard.
EVERY damage ability takes 1.8 seconds EVEN in BOA’s
“Exiles reach” is usually crowded & every other class will ONE shot enemies ahead of you, I end up wasting time waiting for respawns and the next (Hunter, Warrior, Paly, Druid, etc) kills the respawn before my 1.8 second cast goes off.
This would be VERY frustrating for a NEW player with ZERO BOA’s. It was frustrating for me and I am NOT a new player.
Why is it such an issue for a Warlock to have an insta cast DoT at level 1-3 ?
I will literally level a Warlock to 10 right now, record it and upload it.
You’re talking about a very low, low issue that more than likely doesn’t exist.
Did someone kill a rare before you could tag it? Like what

Must be playing on a busy cluster or something. When I level alts I’m lucky to even see another person. Just wait for the people to clear out first if you having trouble getting tags.

I usually hit exiles reach after midnight and it’s empty.
today I happened to start a warlock at 10AM server and it was a pain
Last time I did ER as a Warlock I dotted everything up and started moving again until another mob was in range, it was not slower than melee at all.
And if there’s a low level warlock in a dungeon with me I’ll be hard pressed to beat them on Details! unless I’m also a class that’s broken when level scaled.
Arcane shot requires lvl 2. Arcane shot is instant
1.8 second DoT.

most other classes were killing enemies in less than the 1.8 second cast time of every spell I have before level 9
I didn’t even have any competition last time I was on Exiles Reach.
I have leveled many characters man… not once have i thought this about warlocks, in fact they have the highest DPS post 10. You get an imp around 3, he 2 shots. If this is REALLY a big deal make a /petattack macro, i promise you warlocks are one of the easiest classes. Try leveling a shaman with a 2.5 cast lightning bolt, thats worth complaining lol. Don’t even bother with corruption until you are affliction at 10+ just shadowbolt and /petattack - you even get a MELEE pet voidwalker not far after the imp
Nah. They are fine. You are the first person I have actually seen post crying about a low level lock. Sounds like a you and l2p issue. The already dominate end game. They don’t need to dominate EVERY level.

If Exile’s Reach is so crowded that you can’t tag mobs with casts then hit it with a stick I guess? IDK man I’ve never seen Exile’s Reach be a major competition for tags even on a “Full” server.
so have I… i have over 170 toons on 5 accounts. Warlock casting 1.8 seconds until level 9 is a pain if any other class is around.
Shaman have flame shock on CD but it is instant now isnt it
