Leveling my sub rogue. Noticed im not doing much damage anymore. Higher levels put out more damage which is to be expected. About time higher levels do more damage but what i didnt expect is dodginf mechanics some times i will get 1 shot during bosses which isnt very cool.
Damage I haven’t investigated - though I have seen groups with levelers and their damage is either decent or total trash (not sure if that’s due to some players being terrible versus something with the scaling system or class imbalances at different levels).
Some mob abilities are not scaled correctly - I’ve seen abilities hit for the same amount regardless of player level (barely denting a higher level while one shot with overkill on a low level), and others where it scales but is still higher than a players HP at low levels.
This has been happening to low levels in leveling dungeons since the start of Chromie time. Ground mechanics one shot level 10’s on the first tick, before they could even have a chance to jump out. Since it’s a mistake Blizzard continues to repeat, it’s either an indication of extreme lack of quality assurance, or just a deliberate attempt to troll low level players.
Hard to “dodge” something you HAVE TO walk through, when higher level players refuse to clear with an item intended for that purpose, because it barely causes them any damage. Also, when something dies next to you and the instant the pool of goo forms under your feet you are dead, there’s no way to dodge it. Certain ground mechanics are literal insta killers for a level 10.
