While it is utterly hilarious watching a single mistweaver monk solo most dungeons, doing 10-20x more damage than the group, I can’t help but worry what impression this level of imbalance is leaving on new players, especially new tanks who aren’t even being given the opportunity to get a feel for tanking because a teal tornado is ripping through packs of elites with no issues at all.
I’ve been leveling characters for the entire prepatch in dungeons and it is VERY weird watching your character go from an incredibly busted killing machine, and seeing it lose power gradually as it gets higher level.
How did this disparity make it to the remaining 100k players on retail?
Its all screwed right now, lol
we just ran some leveling dungeons today and they’ll have bosses dying too quick…bosses one shotting the tank…or stuff dying way too easy.
Just got one shotted in the last run I did in scholomance lmao.
Back at the beginning of BFA, I made a video which proved that the scaling of BFA dungeons was such that a level 110 in Legion gear or a level 111 in crafted greens both vastly outperformed a level 120 in the best possible epic loot available at the time in a dungeon that they could all be partied together in.
Ion himself came and responded, along with editing the title of my post to be less embarrassing for him after it had gotten 20+ pages of replies.
I’ve been leveling toons in the pre-patch and, yeah, leveling in dungeons is absolutely awful so I just don’t. Harldan on youtube has a sweaty leveling guide you can hit 60 in five-six hours. Quicker maybe with the current anniversary buff.
I’m so happy the last toon I care about leveling has two levels to go.
they don’t care about nothing but the current expac and endgame the rest just stays busted forever til they actually get super bored and decide to fix something which usually takes forever. nothing but current endgame and the expac is all they worry about.
Hey, sorry if I didn’t make it clear in my post. This isn’t about you and me(experienced players) This is about how the game plays for new or maybe returning players. It looks sloppy and buggy, which is not the polish expected of Blizzard.
Sorry but this is a cop-out. FFXIV handles high level, fully BiS max level players mingling with day 1 baby characters better in every way without disrupting the natural flow of the game. It is 100% fine for us to have it both ways.
