Why did Blizzard allow level 70s in low level battle grounds? They do 10x more damage than everyone else who SHOULD be allowed in the battle ground at that level and its basically like twinks all over again. Blizzard was faster to get rid of twinks than literal level 70s in battle grounds lol. I actually prefer twinks way more than this garbage.
And they also decided to decrease the xp gained in BGs as well… what is their reasoning in making low level battle grounds trash… no wonder the ques take 15+ minutes. I remember leveling multiple characters to max level just doing battles grounds and arena in BFA and some of shadowlands and now this doesn’t even seem possible within a reasonable time and I don’t even want to do it anymore considering I’m just getting smoked by 1400 hard stuck d-bags who have to play in low level battle grounds too seem good at a 20 year old game.
I hope blizzard addresses this soon maybe… maybe I’m the 1% of the community that enjoys just doing pvp to level but its the least blizzard could do because leveling in retail is already so braindead as it is at least make it possible to have fun with leveling.

Although I agree it’s a horrible system and needs fixing, just skip it. You can do low level PVP, you’ll hate it and have a horrible time or you can just level normally and hate it and have a boring time. Boring is slightly better than hating it. I’ll be very surprised if party sync gets a fix because of how little they care about battlegrounds in general

so bis twinks wnd very litte xp is what you’d prefer? because im onboard
So you are Blizzard’s prime target. Force this person to spend money on a boost. Make it so unbearable to play in, hate leveling bgs, and the only way up is to Quest or Dungeon your way up which you dislike or just skip to 60.
Why do you think they gave hunters a 40% damage boost on Rapid Fire? Low level huntards one shotting everyone, even some 70s. It’s great fun right?

Low level battlegrounds aren’t worth worrying about.
It was during BfA that they created a per character requirement to get a 100k honor achievement to get a legendary PvP essence that was bis in PvE. Since a lot of the PvE-ers who needed to get these on all their alts don’t do PvP, they came up with a way that high levels with great gear and no interest in PvP could form parties and queue into bgs for effortless honor.
At the same time they eliminated xp off from regular bgs, because it wouldn’t have been fair to the PvE-ers who were getting a free ride to have to fight against geared players who knew what they were doing.
Apparently Blizzard liked this system, because during Shadowlands rated players were required to farm massive amounts of honor to upgrade their gear ilvl. I recall trying to stop a feral from casting convoke in a 39 bracket.
The reason there is so little xp and such bad gear rewards for leveling in bgs is because they don’t really want people to level that way. It’s like Legion invasions in that way. People want to level that way, but devs would rather they leveled in dungeons. So dungeons have great rewards, and bgs have poor rewards and little xp.
Ion does not want people leveling that way. Let’s get it right here. Plus that juicy 60 boost is in the shop just waiting for you.
Ion is the ideas guy, yeah.
It’s been well-documented that he does not like PVP. He has no time for it. I mean he even came out with the classic sarcastic statement of people not being able to find PVP Vendors.
Most of the time he played he was a raid logger. Last time I looked his profile was no longer in the armory. Despite being on one of the biggest Horde-dominated PvP realms since vanilla, he had a small number of hk’s, and was honor level 6 when he stopped playing in season 2 of Shadowlands.

Yeah, and random bgs used to be fun. Not anymore, just premades.

I am kind of curious just how many 70 sync premades are running around? I remember queingg into 1-2 a weekend back when f2p and vets were in the xpon bracket. but I was on my vet so I turned them all into paste.
It wasn’t bad before Dragonflight. You’d get decent ilvl for being downscaled but you’d be outclassed by twinks and your abilities and talents would be properly downscaled for the bracket. But that was with the old talent system where you’d pick one talent every 15 levels. With the new talent revamp, what is restricted and what isn’t is still based off of that old system and is pretty arbitrary for the most part, but almost all of your passives work and some end of tree talents also work which is insanely OP in lower brackets.
Someone would have to manually go in and check what should be usable in each bracket, how many talent points should be functioning and where in the tree, make sure abilities aren’t being affected by passive boosts from talent trees etc. It’s too much work so it’ll never be done but at the same time they’ll allow party sync to work to downscale 70s into bgs and wreak havoc on everyone else in there.
It’s the same when they do massive class buffs for pvp at 70 where everyone has massively inflated health pools, but those pvp buffs are universal so right now MM hunters Rapid Fire is just a delete button in pvp.
Sorry but removing scaling was one of the worst things that happened to bgs. And thats why they wanted it gone. And all the sheep followed along.
Agreed. But one thing that happended a ton in legion with templates is mass flavor of the patch rerolls because you didn’t need any gear to start abusing it.
I see 3-4 lvl70s on average per game. They’re generally pretty terrible, but the average BG’er is equally as bad - just at a bigger gear disadvantage.
Not only that but the gear is so bad, it’s actually disappointing when you open those crates. Bad stats and ugly appereances.
They should implement a long questline, perhaps alongside old PvP NPCs along the honor grind, and let players enjoy PvP.

Just came back after several years off to get undead heritage, everything below 70 seems to be completely broken, not just pvp, but my toons can easily solo 5man dungeons below max level, feels like a big joke?
Anyway…had a game last night with 7 mm hunters in the opposite team, queue times are quite poor to what i remember as well, 30 bracket i get told 12++mins average wait time.
Dark times, oh well at least we have 2 cash shops now.

honestly low level bg’s are dead as long as you can level sync 70’s into them without limiting their talents to what you’d get at that level, or allowing mm hunters to 1 shot you with 0 counterplay because blizzard cannot for the life of them balance hunters…atleast balance mm hunters so that aimed shot doesn’t do your entire health bar
Low level bgs were dead long before level sync. Twinkers saw well and sure to that.
