It’s a Saturday night and the Random BG Queue times are awful. This is on my Level 21 rogue. The average wait time is 9 minutes and currently at 11 minutes.
It’s been like this most of the day and sometimes going to 20 minutes and not popping.
Never seen PVP like this before.
Xp debuff exploit has been killing low level bgs since shadowlands the 30s bracket isnt as bad because u can buy old pvp sets for marks at level 30 and 35. But yea im sure people are getting tired of being 1shot by chain lightning and survival hunters.
yeah, I noticed that in the 10-19 bracket Resto Shaman with warforged gear on. It’s not even impressive. Makes the person look like a player that can’t play their class well.
I used to report every XP Debuff exploiter but it was a waste of time. Blizzard are awful when it comes to PVP.
I want to do low level BGs but I can only handle getting one shot by hunters so many times before I just can’t enjoy the experience. Some of those low level Bgs have like 5 or 6 hunters just one shotting ppl left and right and then your team is like oh no and afks and its a mess.
I can only imagine how fun pvp is when you enter a bg at 19 and some resto shaman stormkeepers you for 6k lol.
(my lvl 20 shaman hits for 6 with stormkeeper its pretty funny)
start quing 30+ or face the wrath of low level hunters/shamans.
Well I returned today after at least 4 years away from any type of low level bg experience. After a ridiculous wait time it was exactly this. Shaman 10 v 1 us pretty much. Was not aware of this until tonight as I just got back, so that was a suprise. and only got 1 other match for the whole night on my lvl 52 that dropped from lack of players. the shaman thing and no other playable matches made my night coming back and trying wow bg’s again a total bummer. I am aware it’s late, just never had no matches in the past since I always played at night.
I stopped doing lower level bgs when I ran into toons that could solo farm entire teams.
Whether it’s due to broken OP gear/abilities or people party syncing down to lower levels, it’s not fun.
Low-level bgs have slowly died off due to exploiting and Party Sync groups. Like you, I usually play late and never had a problem queueing. Now it’s really bad and I don’t think it will recover. Players like yourself who came back hoping for a good experience will probably unsub and who can blame you?
Most of the player base doesn’t care because they love to be OP, and the bigger picture gets lost. Predictably it’s getting worse and worse, and I feel Blizzard is just letting low-level bgs die.
Just came out of a 20-29 bg with 4 70s and a 53 (2 grps) on the horde side, and I’ve come up against them 4 x in a row. No wonder people give up.
PVE does not cut it for me in WOW so I can’t see me being with the game much longer if it carries on like this.
There has not been a blue response in these forums since early 2022 I believe and that was some info blast.
Some players are using warforged gear at a low level this of course makes them way OP. It’s mainly Resto Shamans I see.
Tried PvPing with some newbie friends, but sitting in queue for 30 minutes only to get repeatedly killed by hunters in 2-3 hits in 3 different brackets makes it a waste of time.
I really hate the death of low level pvp. I used to exclusively level via bgs as of wotlk. Id have thousands of HKs by the time i hit 20 on a good run.
It got better in the 20 bracket as spellbooks fleshed out and the 30 bracket might as well have been a competitive meta if anyone ever decided to start hosting stuff. Really interesting slot for gear and talents/spellbooks.
It started going downhill in cataclysm.
I dont know how to properly articulate this, but when they broke the classic template for leveling. Like 1 level is x stats with 1 talent point. And when they revamped the talent trees so that different specs were stronger earlier than othere it really upset the low level “meta” as it were.
We ended tbc lv 70 with below 20k health as a dps, i wanna say like 11l or 12k?
We ended wotlk lv 80 with 27kish give or take for classes.
We ended cata lv 85 with 135k.
They broke the pattern.
Cata also introduced damage modifiers to make up for that absurd stamina bloat.
The entire system got tipped upside down. They just worked hard to disguise it.
The only thing that upsets me more is that new players cant experience this because low lv bgs are dead on classic outside of wotlk. Probably because theres plenty of wpvp. But i miss getting my neck from wsg, or my boots from arathi.
You either face people with xp off twinking/exploiting to get into xp on queues, or you face people party syncing down. Either one is an unfair advantage, and no one wants to play against that.
Yeah, it’s a horrible experience for new players that you hope will stick with PVP for the long term.
