Hi I’m getting low FPS on my system which should be very high end, it runs everything else extremely well and that includes Witcher 3 at max. I have no idea what setting could be lowering my FPS in WoW so much but would really appreciate any suggestions.
I have this very same problem and someone pointed that was because I needed a SSD drive to make things better.
For the record, every time I get into a new area, it seems like stuff keep “loading” including even menu textures, and until everything is loaded, the fps drops to an abysmal rate. After that, the fps runs normal at 60… But this can take up to 3 minutes of waiting stuff to load or something like that.
I wish I could find a way around this without the need of purchasing a SSD drive, because they are really pricy in my country and I play on a gaming notebook (mobility reasons), so I’d need one for USB.
It is on an SSD, and I don’t think it’s a loading issue since everything can be loaded, and it still stays at 30FPS just hovering in a spot in Pandaria. I even left it while changing settings and I could reach 50FPS with everything at minimum.
If you don’t post a dxdiag, you make it impossible for us to troubleshoot.

Ryzen is very bios and chipset driver sensitive.
Your bios is multiple versions out of date, and your chipset drivers are from last July. Update the bios from msi and the chipset drivers from amd and test again.
So I hope I did everything correctly, I updated them as best I could and made an updated Dxdiag /B6kywrqh
I notice the frames are definatly better though I don’t know if I should expect solid 60FPS on my system because flying around frames still dip into the 30’s though it’s better then the low 20’s.
I’m from Malaysia, I think there’s something wrong with the network. This has happen before. I have to use VPN or else I can’t play at all. It was fine a few days ago.
