I would say I have a PC that could be labeled as high end. I have a AMD Ryzen 7 3700x and a 2070 super with 32gb ram and I constantly have low frames especially in big grouped events like world bosses, dungeons, raids etc. I don’t know what the issue is or how to fix it. My base game quality is set to 5 and even when i set it to 1 my fps is still terrible. I even tried changing some settings through nvidia control panel, putting the game on max performance through the windows graphic settings and still doesn’t fix.
Your CPU is very dated for WoW at this point. The 3700X is on par with my ancient i7-8700k, and that thing chugged in some of Shadowlands mythic raiding, and I couldn’t take the terrible performance in Dragonflight and replaced it. “High end” would be, AM5, or X3D on AM4.
The 2070S is still half-decent, albeit dated. Maybe not good enough for doing very high graphics at 1440p+, but pretty adequate if you want to hold out on upgrading.
Your CPU makes all the difference when it comes to a lot of players. Even with a 7800X3D, and heavily optimized Windows install, I still limit a few settings to maintain high FPS in Dornogal.
Is there anything i could do to get higher FPS you reckon?
I found turning shadows down helped a lot
View Distance, and sometimes Environmental Detail, and Liquid Detail hit FPS pretty hard on the CPU side.
