Legion 5 Pro - AMD 6800H with a 3070Ti -150W Max
Tried it at 2k resolution and I drop to 30-40s - Changed it to my 1080p Montor same issue…
No way that this set up should give me under 60fps @ 1080P.
My brother has the same issue - same laptop - at this point we both feel is the game - some file or something.
144FPS on HOTS - D3 - OW2 - Max Settings with easy just not WOW
on our laptops at 2k resolution
60 FPS solid max setting on HOTS - D3 - OW2 with Max Setting but WOW 30s - playing at 1080p…
What’s up with that?

human eye sees at about 40 fps. being 40 fps is not ‘low fps’. lower particle density and shadows and see if it improves. are there specific zones or conditions (like outdoors) where it’s worse, and indoors better?
i had horrible lag in Grim Batol ages ago due to too much geometry
Human perception is way more complex than that, heck they understood that 100 years ago that there’s no hard and fast 30-40 FPS limit which is why films, TVs and now games have always pushed for higher refresh rates beyond that, but of course settled for what was technically practical.

In what scenario OP? Even having a 3090 doesnt matter much when there’s 100 players on screen blasting their spells away.

Hit ALT+R. I have a 3950x w/ 3090ti, and I can’t get over 60ish fps in 3440x1440p. I am only using like 60% of my GPU though so I would bet you are CPU limited like I am. Which is insane that a 3950x is limiting my CPU at 2k ultrawide. Only 2 cores are being used and they are always pegged at 100%
My dude maybe you cant tell the difference but there is a big difference
The human eye sees a continuous stream of information, not discrete frames.
Higher refresh rates are generally noticeably smoother, but with diminishing returns.
15 to 30 is obvious, 30 to 60 is obvious, 60 to 144 is less obvious, but still notable, 144 to 240 is harder to notice, and so on.

Do you have it capped at 60fps?
Uncheck that box in settings if you do.
Also switch to DirectX 12 instead of 11.

Complete nonsense lol.
Please stop reading buzzfeed headlines.

At this point, it’s not really about processing higher framerate. It’s about quicker input.
Anyone serious about competitive FPS games has a 240hz monitor as minimum standard.

Yes but, was not diving into that with the guy that saying but human eye 40 fps bull expletive.
100% At 60fps when I turn the background blurs like crazy, but when I am at 144 it looks normal. Its almost like a motion blur without it turned on
Oh, yeah. That’s utter nonsense lol.
There’s always at least one person in these type of threads claiming our eyes can’t process anything higher than 40 frames or some other baloney like that.
I recently went from 60hz to 175hz and the difference is wild. Such a smoother experience. Just wish I could play all games at that high a framerate.
because you see 240 different things in a second and react in 4 milliseconds. makes sense.
Just stop spreading old information
‘‘mollylab-1.mit.edu/sites/default/files/documents/FastDetect2014withFigures.PDF’’
found that the brain can process an image that your eye sees for only 13 milliseconds a very rapid processing speed.
That’s especially rapid when compared with the accepted 100 milliseconds that appears in earlier studies. Thirteen milliseconds translate into about 75 frames per second.
And another study is leaning more towards. Saying the human eye can do about 110 fps
There’s a 1.1k post thread in the support forums about frame stuttering and losing shaders. I don’t think blizz cares that the game is almost unplayable for a lot of us.

Has nothing to do with what I said lol…
It would help to know where you’re seeing these performance issues exactly.
Dragonflight recently upped the game’s draw distance and your CPU is having to load lots more information at any given time as a result. I notice some frame drops whenever I’m flying around on my dragon because I’m moving faster than my CPU can handle sometimes (5600x).
what you said is not backed by any rational reason. so nah-uh you’re wrong times infinity.
edit: lol
ok robokappa, back to twitch chat for you

thank you. I’ll just take this here Double-U and be on my way.
give me a second, for it’s really heavy.
