Low fps in raids, high end pc

Hello I have been off world of Warcraft for about 6 months, I built a new PC in that time and I’m getting very low fps in raids, in dungeons, open world or in aberrus i get 300+ fps but in amirdrassil or vault i dip into 40’s-50’s.

My pc specs are as.
Cpu: amd 5800x3d
Ram: 32 gb 3600 cl-14
Motherboard: asus rog strix b550
Gpu: 4070ti super
Drives :2 nvmes, one for OS one for games.
Cooling :arctic freezer 2 360 aio.
Psu: thermaltake gf3 850 gold
Case: nzxt h7 flow with all lian li fans
Windows 11
Main Monitor is Alienware 27" 1440 p 240 hrtz (over clockable to 280hrtz) second monitor is an asus tuf 1440p 144 hrtz 27"

I am not running Any weak auras, i have a few addons for bags, raid mechanics (bigwigs), details and a couple others, my pc is optimized and tuned as well as running a stripped down Verizon of windows so I’m not running alot of processes , any other games i have no issues with, i have also followed videos on optimizing wow by I’m assuming one of the top optimizers for wow on YouTube , i really want to get back into world of Warcraft in TWW but I’m not spending that kind of money if my pc which should have absolutely no issues, cant run stable frames where i can have a good gaming experience , all my settings are low or disabled besides 3. I only have issus in raid which is primarily what i like to do

Are they all updated to versions for WoW patch 11.0?

Yes everything’s up to date, I’ve even went and disabled everything, addons, weak auras, everything’s people say causes frame issues, went into raid and it still does it.

i get over 200fps in every other game i play without frame dips. Every benchmark like furmark no issues, windows updated and as i mentioned tuned, i even did all the custom console setting like this one

/console SET GxAllowCachelessShaderMode “0”

Add a DxDiag on Pastebin and link it here.

What are your in-game graphics settings? Are you combat logging? What are your temps during gameplay load? Have you tested enabling/disabling the new GPU features? Are you using upscaling?–this feature has been broken since 10.2 and negatively impacts framerate, and it can hit some players very hard.

Unless it’s LTSC, it’s generally a bad idea to do this, and hasn’t been proven to increase gaming performance, in particular.

My temps are perfect, gpu 45-50° Celsius, cpu 55-65° celcius (monitored with hw info), other games get temps up in the 70’s,
in game graphics are all low besides 2, particle density is set to ultra, texture resolution is set to high.
I dont know what you mean by upscaling,
I use the fedelity fx super 1.0 setting with scale set to 98% can go all the way to 100% just the guide says as low as 91%, i run fidelity fx cacao for ambient occlusion.

I have no idea what that other new settings you mentioned are, all the boxes at the end of graphics tab are checked.

My os is stripped down by one of the best pc tuners there are, his name is fr33thy and it gained me 40 frames in cod alone not including other tuning

“Stripping down” your OS is going to cause you problems. I would avoid that like the plague. Dare I say it could even be the cause of your current problem.

The operating system that I got is not the issue, it’s not removing drivers or essential things like that, it’s just removing non essential things like OneDrive, paint, calculator etc, literally every single pro gamer uses it without issue in cod/valorant/fortnite all other games etc etc.
My frames are absolutely amazing until I enter raids

Leave this at 100% (native) resolution. Upscaling is broken in WoW.

How do those programs affect anything if they arent running? Also, if you think they take up too much space, that doesnt affect speed unless you have an incredibly tiny drive. I really don’t understand the thought process behind this.

Its just debloating, have you ever noticed how many processes you have running? They slow down your pc

No, no they dont. At all. Debloat is a ridiculous fad, done by people who have no clue what they are doing with computers. Pushed by YouTubers trying to sell ads. This does nothing but cause you to have to fix your PC.

I guess you’re smarter than every top tuner out there that makes $500 a sessions with backlogs for months, to tune and debloat windows so people will get better frames in games I guess

There’s a sucker born every minute.

or one that has no idea how pcs work… btw i didnt even pay for it, i literally get 300 fps on cod , and every other game i play lol , i only have 70 processes running my pc runs like a champ. so i guess im alright and its the 24 year old non upgraded game engine wow runs on.

or maybe it could be my internet as well as internet connection to servers can affect fps as well…

I’ve been using PC’s for 30 years and have been in IT for 23 years professionally. I’d say I know how they work as my paycheck depended on it thanks.

You’re probably right about the game engine. I notice these drops in town, but not raids. That might have to do with any addons even if you dont think they have something to do with it. Did you try turning them all off to see if theres a difference? Did you try renaming the Interface and WTF folders with .old on the end, running the game and going in the instances where you had trouble to see if theres a change? Afterwards, you can always put the contents of the .old folders into the newly created Interface and WTF folders.

I turned everything off, every addon, no elv ui, no weak auras, nothing and still dip, it makes no sense i can go to cod and get 300 fps running around loading textures, shooting lazers but can’t get decent frames on a 20+ year old game lol

I did not try doing the .old thing but i will try that today when i get in from work ot only happens in raids, i get 200+ fps anywhere else, i get 150+ in valdrakken at the dummies.

It also gets significantly worse the more people that are in raid that’s why i thought it’s a network issue.

Its the fact that its a 20 year old game that slows it down with so many players on the screen. This might be normal behavior for the game that cannot be fixed away except to upgrade CPUs for the 10-15% IPC increase each CPU generation.
