Low fps in dungeons

I don’t what’s happening, but with a 7600x3d, rtx 5080, & 6000mhz ram I’m getting ~ 70 fps in dungeons. I’m also using an ultrawide 1440p 34-inch monitor.

Even with maxed graphics shouldn’t I be getting much more fps?

Might get more help here.

AMD CPUs have never ran wow great for me. They used to rely more on many threads opposed to powerful cores (granted it’s been some years. this may no longer be true).
Back in Legion I had a AMD pc and an equivalent Intel PC, the Intel PC ran circles around the AMD one when playing WoW.

Still, I’d expect more than 70 FPS.

WoW runs notoriously poorly, but on my 9800x3d + 5080 rtx at 4k, maxed everything but RT shadows I get 100-200 fps in dungeons.

Def something up for you

The x3d chips are extremely powerful for WoW. I know the 9800x3d is the best CPU for WoW.

wow really only uses 2 cores well. whatever has the fastest 2 cores should be the best wow cpu.

would be due for a new engine that takes all cores well

*you should be seeing better than 70 in dungeons. i have no issues holding 141 (capped) in dungeons. it only drops below that in a crowded main city or in certain raid boss fights/world bosses

I was hitting 100% cpu with 8700k lol

Yeah its pretty bad and the goblins are stealing tender ^^

bro is calling 70fps “low”
what a joke.

Doesn’t matter what your PC hardware is, if your monitor’s refresh rate is lower than the FPS your PC can pump out, that refresh rate is your FPS lol. Got a monitor with a 60hz refresh rate, congrats, you are getting 60 fps.
