Low fps (1-4) when entering the game for a few minutes?

Hi,

so I enter the game and for a minute or two my FPS is incredibly low (1-4 fps) and the game is unplayable.

I tweaked every setting I could find to no luck. Then I came into forums to look for similar posts and as I write this now my game is running okay so it seems to have gone away.

Anyone have a similar issue?

Potentially maybe it’s my driver, I am behind because if I update to the latest driver my classic wow client has flickering issues (widely reported by many people who have a similar problem). Has anyone else experienced this and been able to fix it maybe without having latest driver?

Are you using addons? I know TSM will say something in chat when it’s rebuilding the database and will cause your frame rate to tank for a minute or two until it’s done. On my computer, I will go from 144fps down to 10fps when it needs to rebuild.

Try disabling ALL addons and see if the problem persists. If it does, then you need to start weeding through them to figure out which one is causing it by enabling them one by one.
