Low button Enhance Shaman

For enhancement shaman is it possible to play with only 2-3bars in pvp and pve, I havent gotten it anywhere after lvl10 cause i heard its very bloated but then i read that lightning focused builds can be more new player friendly for the spec, ive played all other melee and only rogue is one i dont like cause it requires alot of setup and preplanning. Is there ways you have dumbed down the class/removed certain abilities that carry no value to the kit, ik warrior has a few buttons you dont need at all so im assuming this could be similar

I’m playing it at level 80 in Delves and I don’t have all of this button bloat people claim. There was a ton of it in DF. I have zero issues now.

I play my enhancement with 1-7 and qwert set up for hot keys and it works pretty well. I have a few buttons like lust, earth elemental, stone totem and such on a third task bar to press manualy when need be as you dont use them a bunch. The choise node to make fearl spirits and ascension automatic also help some.

That being said, I know my play style and damage is sub optimal but I still have fun playing it and can do ok in M+ 2 and 3 and delves 7 and up.

For enhance to be effective you needed like 10 active skills in your rotation at least.
Haven’t tried it in TWW so far, but it shouldn’t have changed much.

It’s weird. But yes you keep it. You get instant casts of it.

It changed a decent bit from DF. It’s not as bloated.

It was bloated in season 1 but it is much simpler now. Optimizing it is complex, but playing it at an acceptable level is only like 7-8 DPS buttons

Yes, it’s possible. Shaman naturally has a lot of abilities in the spellbook but many of them are situational (i.e. totems) and are things that you might find yourself pressing only once or twice a fight, if even at all. The actual core rotation doesn’t require a ton of keybinds.

I don’t keybind any of my buffs (weapon imbues/skyfury) or long-CD abilities like Bloodlust or Earth Elemental Totem and prefer to just manually click them instead. You can also make a one-button macro that will apply your weapon imbues and lightning shield just by clicking it 3 times in a row, so that helps to condense some space on my action bars as it turns 3 separate buttons into 1 button.

Sure, you might not be optimal or have as quick of a reaction time as a pro gamer with everything bound to a key or a 24-button MMO mouse or what have you, but you can definitely still play at a serviceable level with 2 action bars worth of keybinds - assuming that you understand the core rotation/class dynamic/talent synergies of course.
