Which dps specs have a low apm, just want something easy and chill. (Haven’t played since BFA and was a healer main)
Elemental Shaman might (it’s Lightning Bolt has a longer cast time than most fall-back/spam abilities).
Probably a caster without insta casts. MM hunter also has some low apm.

We see this question asked a lot, which makes me wonder why the current incarnation of WoW is so spammy for so many classes.

mm hunter is pretty chill, long cast times on aimed shot while still doing solid damage.
People hate to accept it because lol Frost, but UH DK is slow paced.
MM when you get geared is 1 button damage profile.
Hell, it’s so boring I was complaining about it in the Hunter forums like 2 days ago, and even rolled BM. That’s right, I rolled BM for a more interactive rotation. Never thought I’d say that.
WW Monk is your answer. Super fun, tons of movement, excellent damage, utility, and survivability.
I mean food for thought but in FFXIV most jobs (at max level) have more APM than most WoW classes.
And probably about the farthest thing from what the OP was asking for.

Blizzard and its players seem obsessed with keeping you very busy. Nobody is ok with a spec that doesn’t have to juggle resources, procs, stacks, and uptime. I have NO idea why. It feels like playing a mobile cooking game while doing fight mechanics.
They’ll complain it would be too boring to have a spec that could just AA or channel, as if they’d be forced to play it. I’m honestly at a loss as to why. That type of challenge isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

I think it’s trying to appeal to an adderall addicted, energy drink fueled spastic younger crowd.
Which, let’s be honest, most of us ain’t.
Arcane Mage isn’t too bad. It’s mostly a three-button class.
I wouldn’t say any spec in the game is difficult to play with like minimal research into it even with high apm.
I’ve been told Ret and Feral are pretty low APM due to clunky-ness. 
Maybe not “difficult” as in mechanically hard to perform, but there are definitely a ton of specs that are annoying to play because of how many procs and cooldowns there are to juggle.
I don’t know even if that’s true, obviously it’s subjective but again, with like minimal research you can figure out which light up buttons to press before others
