Just ran this event on my 120 lock…
I received a 365 NECK piece.
Check your loot table fellas.

Neck pieces have always been the drop from this event. Same as Brewfest has always given trinkets, Hallow’s End has always given rings.
I get that, but if they give you a piece of gear like the Heart of Azeroth. Then they should rethink that loot table. change it to something else like a trinket or a ring. would be i’m sure more welcome and useful at this point in time.

The neck piece is still useful for characters under 110. The 110+ restriction is only placed on the rare item drop to get the mount. The Heart of Azeroth neck piece only applies to players 110 or higher in BFA content.
Now a system that identified players above 110 and/or using the Heart of Azeroth and removed neck pieces from possible drops would be ideal, but don’t hold your breath. Also, I have no doubt weapons dropped during Legion-era even though everyone was using their Artifact weapons.
Maybe this will all be changed and made better in 8.1.5 with their proposed revamps / improvements to holiday events — but I seriously doubt that degree of forward thinking is upcoming.

No. What I said was -
It doesn’t matter that it’s always been neck pieces. If you’re level 120, which virtually all of us are, then this boss fight is useless. If the mount was a reasonable 1% rate it would be different, but at the current 1 in 30,000 or whatever it is now, this event is worthless.
