Actually maintenance is over according to the forums [Shadowlands & WoW Classic] Scheduled Maintenance - 08/03

Now that’s hilarious entertainment, how much Blizzard ignores forums. (Especially on maintenance Tuesdays…lol!) =)

this week on my shaman i did 8 15s, a 14, and a 13. so i’m preeeeeetty much guaranteed an upgrade. i don’t have any 252s equipped yet because the 246-249 options i’ve had in past weeks have been better upgrades.

They need to extend it because they are removing MORE emotes that would be deemed offensive to 1% of the gaming population because offended…

I actually echo OP’s sentiment.
Recently (within the last month) they did a completely unannounced shutdown on a Thursday, then added a scheduled maintenance window message like it was planned, trying to gaslight their community.
And same thing again tonight, I saw the 7 to 8am announcement for planned maintenance. Then I saw the stealth update to 9am trying to gaslight us into believing this is scheduled maintenance.
You’d think with all their lawsuit stuff going on they’d increase their honesty / transparency.
Just tell us something went wrong. Apologise for the inconvenience for extended maintenance. Like a normal business would. Don’t edit stuff like this -_-

Wish they would have those 12, and sometimes 24 hour maintenances. And the 80’s was the best decade ever!

Well…by extending the maintenance, I assumed it was due to an unforeseen circumstance. What else would it be and why would someone need to officially verbalize it.

I’m glad someone is brave enough to stand up to big maintenance. This terrible maintenance industrial complex has existed for far too long.

how unprofessional to have unforeseen circumstances. at my big corporate job (backup assistant afternoon manager at gamestop by the mall) no unforeseen circumstances ever happen. get it together, blizzard.

Point is can you really call it Scheduled Maintenance if the “scheduled” time to be back up just keeps sliding further back. Going from Back up at 8am to Back up at 9am is not so bad. But a few weeks ago it went from being down from 7am - 12pm to 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and on. Speaking as someone with a degree in programing there are ways to Test and trouble shoot your code prior to injecting it into a live user platform. And while unforeseen complications can still occur. An ever increasing frequency of it happening starts appearing to be lack of effort to even try and avoid such issues.

Bro they’re not here to babysit WoW maintenance. Blizzard is much larger than WoW.
