Its fair to say a lot of people are having various; yet very relatable issues. I couldn’t log in tonight for about an hour and started watching forums. When I did it was still a little funky… I hope your experience improves.
Guess I will wait in line … Instead of working on the pre-alpha of War Within, how about taking some blizzard techs, and fix this issue, many forums posts are talking about this issue … obviously it happens to a lot of your clients that pay to play a game , we do not pay to get random disconnects especially when running +20 keys and getting dc’d every minute …
Those examples don’t mean much when you’re talking about connections. Discord and other services aren’t hosted in the same building as your WoW server, so you’d take different routes to reach them. It’s similar to how your dentist probably (hopefully) isn’t inside your grocery store and you need different routes to reach each place.
In order to test the ISP, you’d want to swap to a VPN or hotspot, which may force different routes.
I don’t work at Blizz, and I also don’t have any news to share about any ongoing connection problems other than most people resolved by using another network.
Blizzard and Microsoft don’t own the route between your home and the server, so they wouldn’t be responsible for adjusting it. And yes, it’s a common complaint because routing companies are generally bad.
