wow doesnt need to be scared of any new game. they will destroy themselves before that happens
I’m not sure how accurate my memory of lotro is but what I recall about trying it is that I was enjoying myself and really getting into it up to a point then the game suddenly gave me a pile of junk that filled my bags then immediately suggested I go to the cash shop to upgrade them to a larger size. I was in a foul mood about cash shops, so I logged out, uninstalled and never looked back
Yo I been saying this for half a year now but…
Dnd is working on a triple A open world mmorpg. I have a funny feeling that dreamhaven might be involved they were looking for studios and hiring people. Who else to bring a game like that to life than the same mind that created wow! Mr mike morheim and he has half of the old school devs with him
LoTR online is terrible. Not even the die hard LoTR fans like it. It has been cancelled twice, a version came out that was announced almost over a decade ago and came out so terribly that it was cancelled and then it was cancelled again while in production and now it is out and is still doing bad.
I tried LOTRO but the graphics are so bad.
Huh?
I’ve played LOTRO from time to time and it was never cancelled or shut down. It’s switched owners… But it’s the same game it’s always been.
I’ve actually met some really nice people on there.
At least the trees arent squares and triangles.
the deal went through and never became anything so a new lotro mmo is not happening
if a proper lotro mmo happened, id be gone in a jiffy
Honestly I really do hope some other MMOs get better and attract more people who wanted to play them instead of WoW but couldn’t bc of popularity. It’ll make sure that the people you play WoW with love the world and aren’t just here because it’s the thing to do
is this real life? KEKW
Hey now, DDO has DOZENS of players. DOZENS!
I really do miss it, sometimes. I bought it on launch, and was really active for a while, playing a Rogue. I hate what they did with the game, though.
lmao! there is actually more people that play that game then you realize. They are at least in the hundreds.
Ohh I know, I just like making the joke - I do it with my DDO guildies from time to time [I still play on occasion and my guild is still active]
Oh my god is that loli simulator still alive?
A threat? LOL the game wasn’t popular even when it was new. I have nothing against the game as I enjoyed it some for awhile as a side mmo back then. I even tried it out recently for fun and oh my it didn’t age well. The graphics and everything is so outdated. Which happens but that is why I love WoW’s graphic style because it may be cartoonish but imo still looks amazing.
Anyways, good on LOTRO for putting a new experience in. I know New World did it and WoW has. But anyways, it won’t be a threat to WoW nor any of the other top mmos.
I’d play LotRO if it wasn’t constantly stuttering even on lower graphics settings. Seriously makes me want to rip my eyeballs out trying to play that game.
LOTRO, ESO, DDO, SWTOR, FFXIV
Are all Threats…they offer something besides raid or die…Ion has said it is physically impossible for the current dev team to design anything other than that.
I’m still around to basically hang out with old friends…if I want to actually play a game there are better choices for me.
The private server they are building for that looks like it’s going to be fun though.
The combat in that game was great.
