I know about the bug and reported it but I have not seen anywhere if they are going to reimburse players who lost currency though a warband transfer.
Unless it begins effecting their preferred players, good chance you won’t be reimbursed
Nope.
I lost bronze currency on the first day of the anniversary and they wouldn’t reimburse me.
And this was before they buffed acquisition so it was painful.
I’m sure they will treat it with the full urgency the missing guild vault items got.
They would rather a thousand legitimate losses go unresolved than risk potentially reimbursing a single undeserved one. That’s the seige mentality they take to all these situations.
I have only ever seen people say they did not get it resolved. Have yet to see a single person say blizz helped them with it. Not that I see everything just offering a data point.
It should be something they can trace. Years ago they always seemed able to trace gold stolen from vaults and similar scams, but I suspect that they’ve laid off so much support staff that they just don’t have the resources to look into anything anymore. If it can’t be done by automation, the players are out of luck.
IME people who have their issues resolved don’t go back to the forums to announce it; they just go back to playing the game.
That is a fair point and entirely possible. Just figured I would have seen someone chime in on one of the many threads about this with an example
So this is an update I did get reimbursed but only received a quarter of my timewarp badges that I lost
I got hacked once and a whole bank of mats taken as well as gold and I got everything back, however, I reported it within a week of it happening. They might not be able to trace things back months prior.
They shouldn’t have waited months then.
