Was on Isle of thunder when world servers died. I’m not able to login to toons elsewhere, but when I logged back into my toon on isle of thunder my UI was reset and all my presets were gone. Please tell me they’ll come back. 
UPDATE: here’s the fix

Same here. Got booted from server logged back in, with some touble and all my templates are gone.
Yeah I’m gonna be pissed if they’re gone forever.

A good reminder to back up your UI on top of your addon settings. You never expect WA to wipe itself, but it will.

Aren’t the UI settings on the server side? Or so I thought. I knew addons are local. But thought UI wasn’t since it’s the same no matter what PC I log into.
once my UI settings broke, i couldnt fix it so my raid style party frames show:
Tank
Healer
DPS
DPS
DPS
its just some random order with me on top. Anyone know a fix?
All user settings are client side. Save your interface to preserve your UI, macros, and settings. I’ve had it wipe a few times over the years, and just make a backup file every time.
I guess people should export those strings and save them as text files on their local drives. Just in case.

Same here. And it’s happened like 5 times at least since they added edit mode. It’s getting really old. I hope they fix it soon. nothing like spending 30 mins doing the same thing over and over and over.

A server crash didn’t 't wipe my old ElvUI addons from my drive, why the hell is it wiping my UI setup?

Honestly, I’m turning all my addons back on. Never happened with those and it sounds like this is an issue that has been happening for at least a week now. I found another post from 8 days ago saying the same thing.

Yeah my adddons are all fine. Weakauras where I left them. Only the blizzard UI got borked. Now I’ll need to redo them from scratch. Dang it!
I think UI settings are actually in the WTF/Account/[number] folder. You can look in there. It happened to me, and I fixed it by renaming edit-mode-cache-account.old to edit-mode-cache-account.txt. Give that a try first (Be sure to back up your current edit-mode-cache-account.txt first!)

If this is a thing, I have 12 characters to redo my UI"s on. Gonna take all night. Not the way I wanted to spend my game time this evening.
