Anyone here also having issues with items disappearing from your inventory / bank. My fish I caught and the ore I mined are gone from both my inventory and bank. No I didn’t sell any of it. I had planned to but where are they? I did a Reload UI, logged out of the game and back in and nothing’s back. Are they there but can’t be seen? I’d sure like to know and you need to do a tribal dance around a huge bonfire to get Customer Support.

Common Problems

* I can’t find my item in my bags

  • I can’t see my item, it’s in my bags but it’s not showing
  • My item disappeared
  • My item is missing

Missing items

If you are missing an item, think if:

  • The item was put in the bank, Void Storage, or guild bank.
  • The item was a collectible and was learned (mounts, pets, heirlooms, or toys).
  • The item was sold.
  • The item was a consumable and was used by mistake (potion, food, etc.).
  • The item was a reagent and was spent on a craft or upgrade.
  • The item was a gear piece disenchanted or scrapped.
  • The item was a token or currency and was exchanged for something else.

Sometimes an item may not be missing, but a damaged UI element or inventory manager addon is causing a display issue: try resetting your UI.

Item restoration

Sold, disenchanted, or scrapped gear pieces can be restored in the Item Restoration page. Any recently sold items can be restored by speaking to any vendor in-game and opening the Buyback tab.

Stackable items such as consumables and reagents sold or used by mistake cannot be restored.

Collectibles learned by mistake cannot be unlearned.

Also, have you been to Duskwood lately? It’s lovely this time of year. You should really stop by.

None of that was helpful. Clearly you didn’t read my post carefully. I did not sell, trade, scrap, disenchant, etc my resource items. They apparently disappear when I open my bank tab as I watched. Thought they auto-deposited but they are not in my bank. They have vanished, disappeared, went missing. It seems to be only on one of my toons tho. The others don’t have this issue. The affected char is Unakia - Horde - Wyrmrest Accord if that helps. I also did the Reload UI and logging out of the game and back in. Nothing came back.

The Realm Forums are pretty obscure. This one is mostly comprised of a couple dozen or so RPers who talk about wow stuff now and then. I doubt you’ll find any help here. Blizz CS won’t even notice your post unless you’re reported or something.

I’d suggest putting in a ticket. It sounds like a big issue.

If you want to see if others have had the same issue, I’d try the bug report forums.

LOL…I thought I WAS on the Bug Report forums. At any rate I think I found the problem. It seems to be the Adibags addon giving me headaches. Turned it off and found all my stuff. Ok…have fun rp-ing. Sorry to have made that wrong turn and landing here.

In case you don’t know, for future reference, a UI reload and a UI reset aren’t the same thing. Resetting your UI involves renaming your Cache, Interface, and WTF folders, then launching the game, which causes it to create new Cache, Interface, and WTF folders from scratch. You need to disable any automatic addon management/update things you have so that addons can’t reinstall themselves before you have a chance to see if the problem was fixed.
