got a couple of items that apparently were lost, a shard and some cloth. when I went to get them it said item not found, deleted the mail afterward with no issues.

Ya I think this happened to everyone, even across alts. Very strange.

Yup. And whats weird is some of the toons have the items in the mail, but when I try to open the mail, the items are Not Found. LOL

Okay, I was wondering if it was just me. One wildercloth and one vibrant shard. It was very strange.

Happening to me as well. Not sure if it’s on every alt I have, since some aren’t displaying mail icons - the ones that are, have stuff that I sent to them yesterday.
Very weird bug.

I got this on several characters, even ones that aren’t old enough to go to DF, and was able to loot the items out of the mail on my Tailoring/Enchanting character. That character also had “real” mail to open, which I opened first before attempting the “special” ones.

If you have one of each of the items in your inventory (a Vibrant Shard and a Wildercloth) you can loot the strange mails, and then delete them.
It does not create new items. It says you receive them in chat but your stack does not increase. So I can’t imagine this can be considered a cheat of any kind.
So I just mailed one of each to all my alts (which is a lot), cleared the mail then sent them back to my cloth guy.

Yeah, even my bank toons and Pet Farmers are getting mail from Dragonflight. Hey Blizz, it is very annoying…

it’s spam mail… even if you have Vibrant Shard and Wildercloth in your bags it does not increase by one … i got those items on all my toons too

Even stranger is this wasn’t limited to live, as my characters on 10.1 ptr got the same mail.
