GW2 new expansion dead. Next wow killer please.
Rift has a big new update in the works!
Does that include taking its temperature to see if its still alive?
Get a life dude
Its almost impossible to launch a successful MMO in todays gaming culture.
You will get a huge influx of players who jump in try it out, and then all walk away after a couple of months. Those that stay vary from people who âfinishedâ the game on week 1-2 and those who will still be leveling for 6-12 months.
The big deflation in server pops after the first few months cause the âgame is deadâ people to come out of the woodwork.
Generally its not worth jumping on a new MMO for a couple of years if its still popular then you can farm up to speed (sure your probably going to be behind some of the top level guys but at least you know the game pop is stable).
I still remember the âWoW = Waiting on Warhammerâ posts, circa 2004.
We all die eventually. Death is inevitable.
This game has lost 10 million subs , cmon man! No other game has lost that many! Proof WoW is dead!
What metric you using to say GW2 EoD is dead? The new maps are running like 40-50 capped layers.
Nothing can kill WoW.
âOn a long enough timeline the survival rate for every mmo drops to zero.â
-Some guy that talks to himself.
More like MMOs are dead.
New World was pretty bad. One of my buddies wanted me to give it a go. He was saying how great it was and I checked to make sure we were playing the same game. He stopped playing like a week later. Luckily I only needed about 30 minutes to come to my own conclusion.
I still have my box and disk for that one. It was also pretty bad. Bought Aion and Rift too. They were fun for a while. Rift was actually pretty good.
The only other MMOs I still play are FFXI and XIV. I wish theyâd do a one sub model for those kinda like Retail and Classic.
humm, lost ark has more bots playing the game versus players, last time i played, bots were sending you mail, whispering you, etc
LOL, thinking WoW is the FF killer.
I guess the next one would be Ashes of Creation?
Classic Shadowlands with Covenants inside your Garrisons
âDeadâ games tend to be better in terms of player base. Those that stay are hard core dedicated to the IP and truly love the game they are in.
Iâd love for the garrison, class hall and covenant (and DragonFlight simulators) mission tables to be lined up like slot machines in Vegas.
