Hey, Blizz. Just wanted to let you know that queues, unfortunately, increased a little bit longer, today, for mythics.
Why?
Because, while I would love to tank, for now it is not fun to me, because I don’t want to count % for exact mobs and study maps for routes.
Blizz just needs to stop making content that drives tanks away, in addition to all of the other responsibilities that tanks have. Why do they make dungeons where we have to skip mobs? I mean, really? this is the best content they can put out?
Just make dungeons so a tank does not have to be a cartographer or an accountant to be successful, and I will be more than glad to tank again and keep tanking.

Someone that wants to tank mythic plus optimally has to do quite the research at first.

Yeah, and unfortunately I refuse to do it. I do not mind some research to continue improving as a player, but when everything is placed on the tank, I just stopped tanking mythics. Oh well.

It literally takes 2-3 minutes to map a route in Method Dungeon Tools. Just tell your group to summon you and you can have a route done by the time you get there.

It doesn’t take that long to get a rough idea of decent routes to tank mobs in.
Unless you’re running really high end M+ you don’t need an efficient route anyway.
Also, at the end of the day, I’m not going to be upset that there’s one fewer tank who doesn’t want to put in a tiny amount of effort to run content.

Unfortunately, I am not the only tank that feels this way, which is why mythic groups wait a long time for a tank, generally speaking.

I agree. A timer does nothing but create these weird optimized routes that tanks are expected to memorize for each dungeon. When Visions of N’zoth hit, all of a sudden I have to relearn all these routes because my regular routes don’t account for the mobs I can skip with the obelisks nor the mobs I now have to kill to optimally fill the %.
Studying routes is boring. Fortunately, I have friends willing to tell me where to go, so I’m not gonna solo queue. DPS players can enjoy their long queues.

I agree with what he said. I feel like if you’re the one pulling mobs you should have a general idea of which mobs to pull.

Knowledge is one of the skills a tank must have. He is the one doing the pulls, he is the leader of the group.
If you’re not up to it, you can DPS. Or tank low keys.

Not needed. I don’t wish to see more healers or dps who follow the tank creating routes in mythics. Thanks, though.

if enemy forces is removed from M+, the only viable group comp will be bear, resto druid, 2-3 rogues and 0-1 moonkins. the meta will become boss rush, skip all trash

You must have quit for some reason. Let me guess, you like healing and dpsing better, right? No doubt because Blizz keeps placing every responsibility on tanks.
If you are such a great tank and like counting numbers and taxi driving in mythics, I applaud you and urge you to go tank again so ppl are not waiting 3 hours for a tank in mythics.

I’ve always mained healers. I tank as a change of pace.
Having a preferred spec doesn’t mean I was driven away/“quit” tanking.

Yea BFA dungeons suck. I mean I dislike every one of them and I haven’t felt that way since Cata era. Even WOD had some enjoyable dungeons and I liked most of Legions.

I got an easy solution for you. Dratnos creates routes every week for every dungeon. Just go look at them before you go. It’s really not hard man.
