Lost 200 Rating From Power Outage

My power went out yesterday for a few hours right as I was in a battleground blitz. I logged back on later to see the -200 rating loss.

Edit:: Realized I posted in the wrong forum. Good luck to anyone else that experiences this! Anyways back on the grind wooooooo! I’m not depressed YOU’RE DEPRESSED!

You can blame the people who pull out their network cable instead of losing for this.

Blizzard can’t determine if you lost power or rage pulled your internet.

They stopped dropping mmr for dc/leaving games so shouldn’t really impact you that much (unless they reintroduced it for TWW

The way my schedule works I also can’t play at primetime so after the first day I couldn’t even increase my rating on wins at 1700, and now it’s still rare that im in equal mmr lobbies because of how early I play. The impact of having to slog through low mmr matches (which are FAR more rng than you might think relative to higher mmr matches) is just cruel and unusual. Alas, I doubt I’ll be able to do anything about it so I’ll just suck it up and suffer until I eventually make it into the 2k+

There is a stacking debuff you get for leaving for anyreason, including DC,

=200 CR and =200 MMR every time, and 30 minutes account wide deserter first time. Deserter debuff doubles if you do it again too soon.

That debuff didn’t deduct mmr for most of DF.

Nope, it didn’t,

The Account wide debuff and the MMR loss were added right at the end of last season.
