I made this post on the forums yesterday. Just wanted to put it in the bug reports.
This happened to me twice already on two separate toons. Losing my chance to loot the dragon customization on my shaman for the proto drake customization on Fyrakk (along with all other loot that week for that boss) and losing out on vault loot choices. and the second time on my druid for Tindral losing out my chance at looting the new moonkin customization. This is not really fair. If you happen to be backfilled into an lfr and the raid decides to pull early without you no matter where y ou are spawned, you can not tap the boss and lose out on your loot for that boss for the week.
This happened twice and I tried to leave the raid before it happened the second time (no tag at all just on my way flying with the emerald drakes and then died due to Swiftmend pull) there was a ready check and we all weren’t there 3 others died and probably denied loot as well).
Please look into this, I barely play wow as it is and it sucks that I got my chance to loot pulled under me for the impatience of others in lfr. It really made me want to stop playing this game when that happened.
It seems people may be incentived to do this if they get to essentially get loot as if all people were there but not being able to tag the boss means people who are ineligible to loot, thus they get increased odds at getting an item. Incentiving people to pull without others sucks. Stealing loot lockouts from them especially with lfr you are very unsure that you are backfilling for a boss about to be pulled. Leaving during this doesn’t prevent anything especially at the start of the encounter and it really sucks.
