I have my head canon where Lor’themar is crowned the new king of Quel’thalas after he married to Thalyssra and bring together these two kingdoms of magical elves as a single realm. What do you guys think? Are there good chances for lor’themar to rise up from a mere regent to a proper king?
I think the chances are better than they were years ago. I’m pretty sure the entire reason Kael’thas is back, besides fanservice, is for Blizzard to finally give the Horde positive character development and have Kael’thas say “I was wrong. The last Sunking wasn’t Anasterian.”
Nah.
Anything you prop up in the Horde ranks Blizz will smash down later.
I have hope we see good days again.
Giving the horde Kael’thas is only a disservice to the horde. It’s blizzard admitting they have NO IDEA what to do with the horde, accept nostalgia to pacify horde players.
It’s a terrible idea and Kael needs to stay in the Shadowlands. But that’s my opinion. Him coming back to the horde adds nothing new or relevant to what the horde actually needs to change. You know…like stop glorifying past villians like Kael
Stick to the topic pls. Kael’thas returning is not the main point of this thread.
I was responding to Dreadmoore about Kael coming back as fan service.
I mean… in Shadowlands. The entire point is fanservice. just like tyrande for the frothing nelf nerds and uther for the male human paladins.
Wasn’t the whole Sylvanas stunt not proof enough?
We didn’t even get a formal meet of our damn council it was just slaped together in a damn book.
I don’t know if either of them will take the mantle of monarch but it would be nice to see a union of elven nations.
Honestly I’d like more details on what the Sin’Dorei government is exactly.
There was at least one pretty dark subplot that, far as I know was dropped, in Silvermoon with a protest organizer being mind controlled into changing his message to support the status quo. So at some point there was at least a modicum of unrest amongst the populace. And far as I can tell they have some sort of oligarchy with the Magisters, Far Striders and Blood Knights all making the big decisions.
Really wish they’d let the place develop more. Like is Tranquillen even politically part of Silvermoon or is it still some semi autonomous city state run by, far as I can tell, Forsaken and Sin’Dorei irregular military command?
Who cares what lorthemars title is he isnt going away.
He’s meant to die so no. He probably dies as the new problem between horde and alliance arise after Shadowlands.
Lor’themar isn’t going to die period.
here u go noob from wowpedia.
‘’ Liadrin was briefly enthralled by a tiki mask which granted her three disturbing visions of her companions: Dar’Khan as ananimate corpse , Galell in a twisted and, and Lor’themar writhing in flame. In time, each vision would become a reality.’’
All of them have become a reality except lorthemar. GL.
I’m hoping this is where they go. Kael’thas (Now Blood Prince of the Venthyr by the end of the Covenant Questline when Prince Renathal becomes Sire Renathal) telling Thalyssra and Lorthemar to stop being cowards and take up their respective mantles properly, as the new Sun King Lorthemar of Quel’d and Grand Magistrix Thalyssra, Queen of Suramar
“You’re actually being prideful by refusing your title, thinking you are above your duties and obligations, like I was when I first was in Dalaran when Arthas killed our people, and later when I refused the title but pretended to give our people to the Burning Legion”
I don’t think Suramar and Silvermoon will become a single kingdom just cause their respective leaders are in a relationship, especially since neither make royalty a major part of their position. That would definitely pave the way to a closer alliance though in all probability, though I don’t imagine the two are planning that, at least not primarily.
My understanding, or maybe my head canon, was that it was something of a… For lack of a better word “mage-ocracy.” Wherein, yes, it was ruled by the Magisters, Farstriders, and Blood Knights each had a hand, but the Magisters were by far the most powerful faction. Up until very recently, that is.
/looks at the return of fire mage guy
I wonder if Lorthemar will be saying “no king shall rule Silvermoon!” as Kaelthas burns him to ash and sweeps him away with an enchanted broom.
doubt it. Lorthemar respected Kaeltha’s decision to name no king after the fall of Anasterian and he’s battled himself because of it. If anything, Kaelthas will help Lorthemar seek peace with it and be able to give blood elves a new perspective for their potential future.
