A Warchief is not simply a war figure, but a leader. The Horde needs a leader and the one suitable and deserving of the title is Lor’themar. The things he’s done for his people and his skills in combat are unmatched. He would be a true leader the Horde needs.
Point of order. The horde is now governed by a council of it’s remaining racial leaders. The war is over and the horde must evolve beyond their warmongering ways.
The Warchief’s position has been removed though. They decided it’s a better idea to not give one person ultimate power, in the chance they go crazy with it.
While correct the title itself suggests a military commander and in the past ultimate dictator of the horde. A council is a much safer road at this point given the insanity of the hordes previous warchiefs.
Orgrimm - Fel infused insane
Thrall- Sane
Garrosh- Old god infused insane
Vol’jin- Wasn’t really Warchief long enough to do anything
Sylvanas- Death infused insane
I would conclude the horde is wise to move away from their ultimate ruler.
Anduin is just the king of the Stormwind humans and not the alliance as a whole. Even the position of High King can be abandoned, since it is a military title much more than monarchical.
So much so that Tyrande and Genn went to Darkshore, regardless of Anduin giving priority to war elsewhere.
And not for that reason Anduin could forbid both of them to do so.
Excuse me! It is past time for the Horde races to mature and really change and not just out of mouth, as it has been since the Cataclysm.
Lor’themar has seen a lot and been through a lot. Character wise if they pulled that he would probably go the way of the sad orc Saurfang method than a Sylvanas scenario. Bet yet he might even die killing Sylvanas himself because he would find it honorable for her to end by blood elf hands.
I approve of your notion, because this peace would not last at all thanks to the alliance, and if we needed a better leader who would lead the horde alongside Thallyrsa as their queen.
