Lorewise, who would win in a fight

Shaman vs Mage
Warrior vs Monk
Death Knight vs Paladin

Sylvannas with borrowed power from an unknown source that we don’t know about because it’s a fantasy game and they didn’t tell us. What a twist (M. Night Shamalan voice)

Thrall was no match for Jaina so I will say Mage over Shaman

Garrosh made mincemeat of that Panda in MOP so Warrior over Monk

And Arthas smashed every Pally who stood against him 1-1 so DK over Pally

We have a cinematic to cover the answer to warrior v monk

What about Mary Sue borrowed power? Aren’t banshees stronger than every class?

Wait, when did that happen? I thought she wanted to flood Orgrimmar and Thrall said “No”

That’s fair, but isn’t the whole existence of monk basically “we invented this so we could murder our warrior oppressors”

Arthas doesn’t count. Lich King is supposed to be a super Death Knight. Do you have examples of “normal” DKs?

Paladins seem to always win in those fights. Light vs. Frostmourne over Uther’s soul, Light managed to steal half of him.

Ashbringer vs. Frostmourne? Ashbringer won.

Death Knights vs. Tirion’s grave? Grave won.

Sylvannas vs everyone sylvannas still wins because she is borrowing the best power

Mage

Monk

Death Knight

In the DK Legion Hall, we couldn’t touch Tirion Fordring. So, there’s an example of both.

In all seriousness if we are talking lore, paladin over warrior, ya boy beat Doomhammer after lothar died.

Since there are too many outliers, it is literally impossible to tell lorewise. If we take into account outliers aka lore characters? Then warrior would beat them all since Sargeras exists.

Good point. Let’s assume they’re your average whatever class NPC kidnapped straight out of their order hall. Then what so you think?

Mage would probably win against shaman because shaman has to be connected to the elements and ask for their blessings, mage just pulls fire out of their butt and tosses it.

Warrior vs Monk would really just come down to which characters we were talking about and who were the most experienced. Like Garrosh wooping Taran Zhu.

DK vs Pally it depends on the terrain. Holy ground gives Pally the edge while unholy areas like Icecrown give DKs a boost.

It really depends on the person’s skill and tactics. There’s a lot of variables in a battle so it’s never a clear cut answer. A more capable death knight can beat a paladin. A shaman could be stronger than a mage magically, but if the mage has a better strategy they can still win.

So the real answer is monk, superior to all!

Warrior still top tier though cause lets not forget it was a normal warrior who was the only mortal to even physically wound Sargeras.

As much as I love Shaman and hate Mage, lorewise Shamans were never made out to be combatants, while Mages are out here doing everything from levitating ships to shagging Half-Orcs.

He was using a super druid axe though. And he basically gave Sargeras a bug bite that probably didn’t break through the skin
