I’m working on the Loremaster achievement. I have ran into quests that require you to “weaken” your target as part of the quest. Because you now level so fast, I have ran into quests that, by the time I get to the quest, I can’t weaken the target without killing it. I actually tried removing all of my gear (including my weapon) and then punched the target but they still died. Yes, I punched a target in my bra and panties. Feel free to laugh. The only option is to remember which zone has these quests and start a new character, but start the new character in these zones. Blizzard, if you are going to level characters so fast, you should eliminate these quests that require you to “weaken” your target. I did did the Loremaster for the Eastern Kingdoms which brought me to level 40. Now I’m trying to do the same in Kalimdor, but when I run into these quests I have to make a new character to complete all quests in that zone.
There’s a foam sword toy you use. I don’t quite rem where I got it but search that foam sword toy
It does work. U hit them once with it and it weakens the mob for those style quests.
I tried, again, even without a weapon or gear and they die on me. My level is 40 and they are level 30.
I think I used to have one of those. I will check my toy box. Thanks for the input.
You can buy the Soft Foam Sword from the toy shop in new Dalaran, I think. It’s not a weapon–you left click your target then click the Sword, and it reduces the target’s hp by 90% or something similar. It only works if you’re many levels higher than the target.
