Loremaster Seeker - Could use some help, advice, guide and tips

So I have decided that I want to redo all of the old content. I made a post about collecting, however, this is more focused on doing Loremaster, so I feel I needed to make a different thread in regards to that. So without farther ado here is Holysalt’s “Please help me” screenplay.

So I want to start in Warlords of Draenor and get my garrison which I can do through Chromie and level up through the WOD zones. I then want to do the MOP questlines and get my reputation raised with the farmers and other zones so I can get the cool mounts, farm and other items. Where do I need to go to start the MOP zones once I am 50+? I know there is a portal to the Jade Forest, but will that “trigger” the start of the MOP quests or do I need to go elsewhere to “start” that?

I have the same question for BFA, Wrath and others. Someone was kind enough to help me figure out some of it, however it seems a bit perplexing, to me at least. I just want to be able to play through, get Loremaster, enjoy it, unlock all of the races and have a fun time. So if anyone could be so kind as to help me out, point me in the right directions and get me going I would be forever grateful to you.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend and take care fellow Azerothians.

the quest to start MOP is going to put you on an airship out there, iirc (its been a while lol). Just cycle thru the mission board. you’ll recognize it.

pretty sure there is a loremaster guide online or on wowhead. icy-veins has a quest checker that is vital imo to find loose end missing quests. GL

I normally use wowhead and icyveins however I also like to ask the community as I know a lot of people who do these sorts of things are generally excited to share info with others. I just want to get in all that I can. Speaking of are there quest addons that help to make sure you see / find all the quests on the map in a zone?

You might also consider locking your character’s level at 49, so you can keep using Chromie Time, at least until you are ready to move onto Shadowlands content.

That may help with where to start the various older expansions. Just a suggestion.

Good luck on your adventure!

Only if you want to keep the content “scaled” to you and take forever to finish loremaster…by forever I mean months and months. MUCH easier to do it after you hit 50+ and 1 shot mobs if all you desire is loremaster tabard.

The questing board gives you missions to old areas so its no different.

How do I lock my level and where do I go to do that please?

Hi Holysalt, try seeking out Behsten in the War Room in Stormwind Keep for Alliance.

https: / / wowwiki-archive.fandom . com/wiki/Level_locking (remove spaces)

Nice I’ll check them out. Do you know where the Horde one is too for when I do a Horde hero?

I have completed Loremaster on two characters. The best thing to do (imho) is do the expansions in order, you don’t have to ofc, but I think it just makes so much more sense. You will get a lot of quests that lead you to new zones and the next expansion.

There should be a quest to pick up at the war board. If it’s not there then check NPC General Nazgrim in Org for the quest "the art of war"https://www.wowhead.com/quest=29611/the-art-of-war#comments

As for the others just check the war board or use google/wowhead to find them. I also recommend to keep some kind of a check list to help you keep track of the vanilla zones when you start those.

Holysalt,

The Horde counterpart to Behsten is… (from wowwiki):

Go to the Hall of the Brave, Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.
Look for and talk to Slahtz

Take Sinelius’s advice into account when doing this however; Chromie Time would make it slower for you. It’s an option only.

True. I can hit 60 usually in about 30-35 playtime hours, so might be quicker for me to just power house to 60 then go back and just quickly quest through them. That is a thought.

I second locking xp at 49 if you want the legitimate old zone experience

The best way to farm pandaria reps is to kill warbringers which i would definitely suggest doing on a 50+ Character. The insignias are account bound so you can mail them to your questing character if you want all the reps on one toon

I’d recommend doing the legion zones as well to unlock your legion artifact and get a dalaran heartstone

Definitely level up archeology imo
Do 1-300 in classic zones (eastern kingdom and kalimdor) and then 300+ you can do pandaria archeology iirc. Lots of unique account bound weapon models you can get

Just want to point out that he is a rogue that is stealthed, on the top floor.

If you are worried about finding the starting quests for each expansion, you could always do the intro quests on your new alt right away. Then it’s just a matter of going back when you are ready to complete the zones.

Also make sure you turn on “track trivial quests” by your mini map so the low level quests show up, if you decide to not lock your XP.

This is essential advice, a great point in my opinion.

Very nice to know thank you so much.

THIS may be the simplest and easiest way to keep up with it all. What a brilliant idea. I should hire you for when my brain doesn’t want to come up with great ideas. Are you for hire? I could use a nice cute Goblin business partner.

lol Awwe thanks! No need to hire, If you have questions I’ll try to help out :hugs:

Sure no probs. Is that fine if I add your Bnet? So that way I don’t have to spam forums pinging you xD
