Loremaster question

Can I get the loremaster achievement if I do different zones on multiple characters? Newer to the game. Love trying all different classes. But confused how the achievement system works.

Yes and no.
So lets say you do Grizzly Hills on 1 guy, then all the other northrend zones on another guy. That WILL get the meta achievement. (meta-achievement is an achievement for getting multiple achievements)

But lets say you did 3 of the Grizzly hill quest chains on 1 guy, and then finished the progression of the Grizzly hill quest chains on another, that would NOT give the Grizzly hills achievement.

Most* of the meta achievements work that way. For example you can do 11 TBC dungeons on one guy, then the rest on another, and get the meta achievement for clearing all the TBC dungeons.

so I have to earn loremaster on all the zones on one character to get the end meta achievement?

No.

But you have to, for example do all the Borean Tundra quests on one guy.

It wouldn’t work to do, say 1/4 of the Borean Tundra quests on guy 1, and then the other 3/4 of them on guy 2.

So TLDR every individual zone’s goals have to be completed by ONE character on your account.
But the continent/expansion achievement can be multiple characters.

So if Character 1 has Hellfire, Zangermarsh, Blades Edge, and Nagrand completed. And Character 2 has all the rest of TBC content cleared, then it will complete the achievement.

But if Character 1 does the quests for Hellfire Peninsula except for Falconwing Post, and Character 2 does all the quests for falconwing post but NOT for the rest of the zone, you won’t get the Hellfire Peninsula achievement even though you completed it’s prerequisites spread over two characters.

no, you can do it across as many characters as you want, as long as at least one of your characters has the zone achievement it’ll count towards loremaster.

you could for example do darkshore on a night elf, decide night elf really isn’t your thing, and instead go play through the rest of the kalimdor zones on a gnome. Darkshore would still count even if you never quested there as your gnome.
