Does each section have to be done in order? Are any sections pre-requisites for others? The reason I ask ia because I can’t find any quests at any of the towns in some zones at well over clvl 110 (I do have trivial quests checked.)
You can do the zones in any order you want, but you do need to pick each zone on the scouting map in your class hall to get started.
After that, the zones are pretty much on rails, you’ll follow along and quests will open up as you go.
Thanks, on a a new character I started one of the zones using the scouting map.
On another character I have one of the zones 2/3 done, but I can’t find where I left off on that zone (came off the rails.) I can’t find any questions marks or exclamation marks near any flight ports or on the map.
EDIT: OK the scouting tab on the map disappeared when I have just one zone left, now what?
I’m absolutely certain you don’t have to start from the scouting map, with the possible exception of Stormheim which had a starter scenario. The scouting map gives you a breadcrumb quest that doesn’t count towards the overall progress. I personally stumbled into highmountain and started doing quests and eventually I had the whole zone’s story done.
You don’t use the scouting map to start Suramar. You need to go to the Violet Citadel in Dalaran and speak with Khadgar to pick up the quest called Khadgar’s Discovery.
I don’t think I did Khadgar’s discovery, but I can’t say for certain. I just started with a quest in the quest hub cave. I ended up in the process getting nightfallen achievement, and some of another. However I finally started getting quests for the Suramar achievement. Got just one left after many hours of questing, a change of seasons. Gotta collect lots of ancient mana just to complete some quests.
Sucks that quests don’t indicate what achievement they are a part of. You don’t find out till you’re done with a bunch of quests.
OK I verified that one doesn’t have to do dungeons nor need revered in anything to get the Suramar achievement.
