Lore Walking Should Stay Instanced

Lore walking should have stayed in an instanced mode. Putting us with everyone else doing all the questing, and depleting enemies is highly obnoxious.

I get a long time ago the asinine choice was made to make Warcraft into an MMO. But when going through things like this just for the lore, keep the mobs out of it. They just ruin the experience. Sure let people group up and do it together, but don’t force randoms onto us, it’s annoying enough in the base game.

I’ve been trying to do the 15/15 soldier quest in Stromguarde and it’s like I’m not fast enough someone beats me to the punch

It is a bit irritating when so many players are trying to complete the same thing at the same time.

But it actually could be worse.

Keeping it instanced would solve some issues, but doubtful it’ll change.

Lol do it in warmode on an alt and get spawn camped by max level players. Its funner that way.

So the new lore content with Cho about Arthas and Xal is not completely solo?

It’s a mixture. Anything in the open world seems to still be in the open world.

I’ve only done the Xal’atath story so far, but parts of it seems instanced and parts weren’t. I was definitely competing with other players for the Kul Tiras portion of the quest.

I generally agree that it would help better if the stories were completely solo and/or completely instanced. However, I also think this problem will mostly fix itself in a couple weeks. It’s just brand new content right now.

Having so many mounts in an area that I cant even see the npc is not only ridiculous but immersion breaking.

It’s worth noting that all of these stories are repeatable, so we can all go do them again in a few weeks when no one cares anymore.

Maybe this is just me enjoying the perks of ranged DPS but I had no issues with it.

I agree, this is so sad. I waited several days to do this, until none of my friends were online, because I was really looking forward to digging into a story mode and following it through and immersing myself. Seeing it absolutely flooded with other players was the biggest let down. I really expected a STORY mode to not have other players. I’m bummed.

This game is already hard enough into instanced content as it is. We don’t need to add questing to that.

What instanced content are you doing that’s difficult? Because even back in Legion with every single weapon artifact I’ve never had an issue with any solo instances being too difficult to get through. So I am genuinely curious where some may have issues with it. I mean it’s definitely going to be a bit more difficult with a fresh level 80, but that’s nearly anything at end game.

(Unless you mean by “hard enough into” as in they’re doing too much of it in your opinion, cause to me I’d be good if this entire franchise went back to solo play, but you could still party with friends if you wanted to like in Diablo lol)
