Lore justifications for Achievement Hunting

So, I’ve started a new account to essentially achievement farm - see how close I can get to all of them in what amount of time.

I’ve rolled on Moon Guard, because I figure if I’m not sweating at top tier content anymore, I can relax in between big pushes and maybe have some random slice of life roleplay interactions with folks.

I’m working on creating characters that have a purpose and a place in the world, but I’m having trouble connecting them - or for justifying their particular inclinations to the “Grand Adventure” that is collecting all the little points. I have been keeping some in character writings that I’m going to keep track of, but other than those I don’t really have any meat for my toons to chew on - metaphorically.

I know the Lorewalkers exist, but I’m unsure if this is their bag - is there any sort of in game lore organization that might call to adventurers of this sort?

Thanks

There are actually a few different organizations of lore and in-game.

While it’s mostly focused with Dwarves, the Explorers’ League has members of all different races. You can find them across the globe and are involved with every expansion in some fashion, even if it’s just that they’ve got a camp set up somewhere. The Horde counterpart would be the Reliquery, though it is mostly Sin’dorei focus. There is also the Steamwheedle Preservation Society and the Dragonscale Expedition.

There are also several NPCs who are known explorers and adventurers that you may look to as well for lore and perhaps some inspiration. Notably among them are Harrison Jones and Hemet Nesingwary.

I’m sure there are more in-game characters and whatnot, but this all was what first came to mind. I do hope it helps!
