Lore implications?

Is there a reason why we can’t change the color of our spells to suit our headcannon? For example, say u were a Paladin but you got your powers from a sea god. Your magic wouldn’t be just “light” anymore, they would be water. Or for another example, I’m a Druid, but all my plants and summons are fire.

The only playable race who worship a sea god are the Kul Tirans, who worship the Tide Mother (and the Zandalari I guess with that shark loa, although I think the shark is now Light). Kul Tiran Paladins are a thing but they still use the Light. Tide Mother followers, the Tide Priests, are a hybrid of Frost Mages and Restoration Shaman, using water-based magic while wearing cloth armor.

As for Fire Druids, they’re a villainous non-playable faction. All Fire Druids are evil.

There are friendly Fire Druids chilling in Bel’ameth

I mean the sea god thing is sort of the deal with the Kul’Tirans Tidesages & shaman – but I do think some exceptions that’re limited for certain races (in race+class combos) would be awesome.

Like Night Elves and Nightborne priests getting SILVER light for their light as the light of Elune would be neat. :dracthyr_nod:

:yum: I could name heaps more, but some people are scared ofpunctuation, paragraphs & hyphens and accuse longer posts that use such of being “AI” / ChatGPT. lol

If this whole post was to advocate for Druid of the Flame cosmetics and customization options I am in full support.

One fire druid, who’s no longer a fire druid. Why lie?

Ummm I’m gonna need some Light and Void combo abilities for my paladin, just like Arator - PRONTO

She’s still red bro

If we can have Man’ari of all things I don’t see a reason to gatekeep Red Night Elves. They look hot :fire:

Something something 1 void elf background npc used consecrate something something that means void paladins.

Apparently 1 individual does mean the entirety can do it.

There’s an existing plot that’s unfolding as the story progresses, the game isn’t meant to accomodate each and every absolutely cooked Moon Guard player’s personal fantasy.

Unironically yeah, cause that’s just the ingame perspective. It is typically implied that more exist

Just because there’s only about 200 NPC’s in Stormwind doesn’t mean Stormwind had a population of 200 in the lore

Well, thank you, but also, I had the idea LONG before the Druids of the flame thing if you can believe it

WoW players try not to bring up the Man’ari into everything

Challenge level impossible.

The Man’ari are playable because a large group of them wants to redeem themselves.

I see no large group of Flame druids who wanna redeem themselves. Only one or a couple of NPCs at most.

For that same reason, you are NEVER getting fel orcs unless a large group of them wants redemption.

Stop thinking the Man’ari are the norm, they are the outlier and they should be praised for wanting redemption.

I only saw like 7 of them ingame

Changing spell colors isn’t something easy to do. There was an interview not that long ago talking about how much work went into Warlock green fire and that spell color changes require a lot of time to implement.

And as for “Water Paladin…” yeah. That’s pretty out there in left field for the lore.

Because that would require a ton of work from the art team, who are already holding the entire game up.

I got distracted but yeah, this lol

That’s fair…it still would be neat though

I agree— to an extent. And they did just make purple DH spec, using some of the same abilities as the others specs, just in purple.

I want Void Knights: purple Pally.

I’d love to see more orange type holy fire stuff for Disc, rather than golden.

That sort of thing.

That DOES sound fun
