I like how your single example was the time Blizzard rewarded the Alliance with a gear advantage good enough for one of the world first guilds to faction transfer to get it.
Historically, tantrums are how Pathfinder for flying and Classic WoW got implemented.
Donāt get me wrong, I prefer pathfinder to no flying at all, but I still dislike rewarding tantrums since that sets the tone for how people will respond to future problems.
I think the whole feedback system in WoW is broken.
The forums can be a truly awful place, so I canāt really begrudge blues for not wanting to visit often, but it means that nothing seems to get through to Blizz except the occasional huge tantrum, and therefore even players who would normally not throw a tantrum are encouraged to join in because thereās no visibly effective alternative.
This please. I miss the buff, pupil-less berserkers of WC2 and 3.
Yeah, ask Limit how well that went for them.
Iām not really sure how requesting High Elves or simply High Elf customization for Void Elves is throwing a tantrum. Yes, Blizzard said no. But as Amadis points out we have Classic WoW now which is something they originally said no to.
Giving Void Elves the ability to play Paladin with High Elf customization options or allowing Night Elves the ability to play Paladin would not siphon tons of resources out of development for a billion dollar company as Activision-Blizzard. Itās something highly requested by people who pay sub fees and buy $50 expansions that is stubbornly refused by Blizzard for whatever reason despite it not being game-breaking in the slightest.
So with Shadowlands with their announcement of new customization options, hopefully it really is NEW customization options across the board for all races. Instead of being lazy, uninspired and incomplete implementations as per usual with Blizzard.
Theyād be called Kul Tirans.
Iāve always had this idealized hope that the Devs and Blues just lurk around around here and other specific forums (PvP, Raid, the RP realm specific forums, etc) and nab ideas, corrections, and valid criticism just for the poor peon of a worker to get shut down by some team lead or exec.
Is that reality? Probably not, but still plausible enough in my mind to keep me going.
