Lore: after legion did the player character dropped the class master title and position?

I say that because all the interaction considering the bigger position of classes of some classes never got any sort of special interaction of some sort.
I mean cmon, the paladin is LITERALLY THE NEW TIRION, the death knight is the master of acherus and the 4 horseman, and go on…
But then literally after in bfa its like “oh wellcome champion or soldier of (insert faction)” WELLCOME MY BUTT, you will bow to me and adress me by my title like you would to any faction leader or important major lore character.

I always thought the whole “one true leader” wielding “the one lone artifact” felt dumb. The artifacts themselves should have been in our order hall and we channeled aspects of their power. Being the “chosen one” just doesn’t work in a MMO.

Especially since you can see other players of your class with the same weapon you’re wielding.

I personally didnt mind but it kind of broke old blizz design philosophy

Some of the titles do work - you can have multiple Archmages, multiple Archdruids, multiple Farseers, even multiple Grandmasters. But more than one Keeper of G’Hanir or Highlord or Deathlord… eh.

The worst though was High Priest. Priests have like a dozen religions! A pope of all of them makes no sense!

WoD and Legion went overboard in trying to make your PC special, and BfA was a bad attempt to walk it back but not TOO far back by making you Sylvanas’s sidekick (or whatever the Alliance equivalent is, I can’t care about the BfA lore enough to remember).

Ideally I’d just like to be a cool, not overpowered support character like Magna from Black Clover or Leorio from Hunter x Hunter. But this game only lets you be Goku or Krillin and nothing in between.

maybe yes, maybe no…the thing is: it already happened, and it annoys because blizzard simple ignores it like it never existed for example Alternative Draenor, besides the maghar orc thing they never touched at any way after wod.
And apparently they dont wanna touch it now with the whole legion thing.

Horde was “Speaker of the Horde” (ugh)

Alliance was Alliance Emisssary, and you can at least have more than one of those.
