I mean. It somewhat is but I don’t see it quite like you do. I grew up with macho manly characters in shows so I’d imagine the people writing this stuff are just bored to death of it. They don’t hate it, just want something different.
Also cmon the people that made Wrathions new look deserve a raise
People who say stuff like this amuse me. Rather than going around the stuff you don’t like to find things you do, you toss yourself into things you hate, roll around it, embrace it, then complain about it.
Everything in WoD is dead really. The mag’har aren’t even the orcs we met back then, they are a new generation. The Draenei got ruined. Blizz really wanted to bury that expac. If only they did the same with BFA.
I’d agree but Golden herself has spoken against “toxic masculine” characters and in favor of more “sensible” characters like Anduin and Thrall.
So there’s definitely anti classic-male sentiments on the WoW writing staff.
I kind of agree. If I’m going to be lectured to death by the characters and the story, I expect the gameplay option to do what I ak being told to do. Let me make a choice to follow Anduin and Baine’s example, and turn on cross faction grouping. Or let me follow Genn and Tyrande and turn on Warmode.
I didn’t even realize it until you said something (Mainly because I don’t give a flying crap about anybodies gender but everyone else who writes this stuff seems to do.) Malfurion? Took an axe to the back. Saurfang? Burned by Waifu. Nathanos? Simp. Wrathion? Errr…I haven’t seen enough of him to actual give an opinion on his character. Anduin, not exactly very Masculine if I’m being honest. But we still have Dadghar, if they touch Dadghar that will be the final straw.
Meanwhile for the current cast of powerful female characters, Tyrande she’s literally a demigod. Jaina, she’s also basically a demi god with that staff of her’s combined with her flying ship and her sheer power. Sylvanas, Waifu girl has absurd powers.
