If we end up going to the Dragon isles does anyone think Rexxar’s best friend will be returning? Before there was Wrathion or Ebyssian there was Sabellian and I’d love to see him come back. Not as a villain, but as a potential ally. I feel like we all forgot about the forgotten son of Deathwing. Who happens to be a pretty chill guy considering who his family! Would anyone like to see his return to prominence?

Last time he was mentioned was in Exploring Eastern Kingdoms. The Si:7 were spying on him and they felt he was not a threat. Like this really cool dragon is choosing to live in exile with his children and nobody seems to care. I’m surprised Wrathion isn’t hitting him up yet.

Yeah…and unlike Wrathion Sabellian is actually the son of Deathwing…though I think they retconned (or expanded) it later to say that Deathwing was at least Wrathion’s direct grandfather (through his mother Nyxondra). Sabellian was actually an interesting character (especially with him being willing to tell a mortal it was an honor to fight by their side).

That’s why I felt he wasn’t a bad black dragon unlike the others we met up to that point. He didn’t appear insane or harboring other intentions to us the players. Reading that he’s just chilling in Outland is kind of weird mention in Exploring Eastern Kingdoms. If they end up doing a Dragon Isles expansion. I think his return as a “good” formerly corrupted black dragon who could teach Wrathion a thing or two.

I’d like to see Sabellian again. When Wrathion tried to kill all other Black Dragons in Cata, the writers said that was all the Black Dragons Wrathion knew about; Sabellian and the Black Dragons of Outland were still alive and Wrathion didn’t know about them. Same with Ebyssian, but he was added to the lore in Legion.
